We were guests at this hotel for a few days, and enjoyed breakfast in this restaurant each morning. We were pleased with our choices, and the service.And, one evening we met some friends here for ice cream (and tea and coffee, of course). Imagine our surprise at the toppings: sliced grapes, apple chunks, and pine nuts! Quite a different experience, but delightful and enjoyable all the same.

Nice pub atmosphere, casual and relaxed style, somewhat noisy when crowded. Strange approach on reservations, where no telephone reservations are accepted. Very good beer.

Well thought and executed design in the style of a pub, incorporating an "amphitheater" for watching sports events on giant screen.+ choice of beers, good food, fun.- service was average, speed somewhat slow (although not on a crowded day). May be a bit to dark and closed for summer months.

Can you imagine eating sushi and sashimi with Ukrainian borch and Uzbekistan plov? It sounded exotic before we went to this restaurant but didn't meet the expectation. Service was slow and shambolic- main courses were delivered before the starters. Quality of food was average, to say the least. The verdict - nothing special, there are plenty of better and cheaper restaurants around

Tsokol is located in a basement away from the central area, but it's worth seeking it out. The owner obviously has a love affair of all things American - as can be seen by all the Americana memorabilia decorating the place. The food is good with some excellent American style burgers. European beers, including Guinness, are available, although to be honest I prefer Russian beers.

Stopped here for a dinner after we've spent the whole day travelling and exploring Tula and its oblast, so we were super hungry. Both my husband and I ordered a starter, a soup and a plate of pelmeni/vareniki. Lovely environment - charming but not stuffy, pleasant smiling waitresses. Our order started arriving very soon, starter and drinks, soup, main not longer afterwards. Everything delicious and the prices were very good. Extremely good value.
