After finishing my meal at Poppa's across the street I noticed this donut shop. Stopped in. It was late on a Friday night and there wasn't a huge selection to chose from. Not sure if that was cause of the time or if that's just how things are usually here. I got an old-fashioned donut and I had a feeling it wasn't going to be that great cause the place seemed kind of generic. But it was a really good donut. Nothing special. But very good. I'm sure it was under a $1 for the donut. Can't beat that.

New American restaurant serving fresh, inspired food in Flamingo Heights, a neighborhood of the Hi Desert located near Pioneertown and Joshua Tree.
This place is an out-of-the-way spot on the side of the road. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but on the inside the chefs are creating outstanding food. My travel companion ordered the shortrib sandwich and thought it was great - really tender meat. I ordered the pork belly with green papaya and it was tasty along with having a little bit of heat. This place opened at 2pm and we arrived at 3 pm. We waited a good 40 minutes to get a table, but it was worth it. Service is friendly and efficient in this totally funked out place. If you are visiting Joshua Tree and looking for a different dining experience, drive the extra few miles to this place. It looks like something you might see in a Quentin Tarrantino movie and is totally charming.

We like Mexican food that is not spicy so I enjoyed the food. My family likes it spicy so they enjoyed their food too. Very delicious guacamole! Great carne asado, great chili reliant, great tamales! Everything was fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and the margaritas....the best!

I gave this Japanese restaurant a favorable review over a year ago. I returned last night with a friend to see what changes have transpired, and was I pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The service was exceptional; was asked by three separate waiters if everything was ok. The food was beyond belief; fresh, and nice portions. I had the Shrimp Bento Box. It was HUGE! They even swapped out the California roll with Gyoza! My friend had the freshest looking sushi I’ve ever seen! They now also have a Poke Bar; it’s a nice one too!
A great experience! As good as any large city can offer, and at a reasonable price! I’m going back more often!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. we were looking for a good burger joint in the area. Its definitely nothing fancy, but our food was hot, fresh & the fried zucchini were delicious. We ordered burgers, veggies burgers, fries & zucchini. We weren't disappointed. Prices seems a little high...but we felt we had good quality food during our visit, so it was worth the extra $.

You walk in and you know your in a good cafe. As I did, it was busy and was directed to a booth, along with my brother. It was brunch time and we were hungry. I was hungry for an omelette, my brother a homestyle breakfast. The food was very good and cooked the way I ordered. My brother's pancakes were big and fluffy. It is hard to get crispy hash browns, but they were on my plate. The avocado atop my omelette was cold and english muffin was barely warm, otherwise a good hardy homestyle meal.

Stopped here and have been back twice. The pizza is fire oven cooked and the veggie pizza is the best. The place is kid friendly even if not a large place inside. The service has been awesome. Melissa (i think her name is) is the best and super nice. Give her a raise. I also enjoyed the beer and salads. The wine is OK and really the only thing that could improve really. We will be back for more as we return to the area.
One other note: I asked some other woman working for a magnet to put on my fridge to call for take out but she said it was for delivery orders only?? if you want to improve your business never say no to giving out a magnet.

Being so quite when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the high-standard of their food. Stuffed grapes leaves here are so good. Everything we ordered from this family run restaurant was very enjoyable. My wife and I had wondered what vegetarian options may be available in the town as we pased through and this place was a hit.
Now. while the their appears to be a hookah lounge with the restaurant, it is worth noting a large portion of the place is just a dinning area.

Another great find for us on our travels. This cantina looked quite sparse and without atmosphere as we were the only guests for lunch. The menu had all the usual Mexican offerings - burritos, enchilladas, fajitas etc. We had a selection of dishes to share. They were all freshly made, very tasy and had the chance to increase our own spice level should we wish. Pity there weren't more customers but the food was excellent as was the price. The Margharita was outstanding too!

Coffee shop with organic, hand crafted beverages and a curated menu featuring new takes on classic sanwiches, sides, and salads. We bakeour own pastries in house and feature new specials every week in a laid back atmosphere in which we proudly display local art. Live music on weekend afternoons.
A fabulous place for Brunch/coffee just outside Joshua Tree. A large space offering fresh organic fare, mainly snacky-type, but suitable for Brunch. An assortment of sesting, comfy sofas, upright chairs and cen outside patio - something dor everyone. A small stage area where you can choose/play your favourite album, but on day of our visit there was an organist providing live music. A different sort of place, in a good way and as there are not many places to eat/drink within the Joshua Tree area, this was a great find. Recommended.
