I've only eaten here twice. The first time was so amazing, I was worried about returning with friends in case the second time disappointed. It did not. It was just as fantastic as the first visit. Really well priced too. It's five star quality food, and not something I'd expect in a motel in Yass, but there you go. I can't wait to go back.

Short stop over in Yass on route from Melbourne and Sydney stopped in Yass for the night and needed food
The Chinese at Fook Lee was a pleasant surprise
The food was very tasty ( except for the chicken corn soup)
And at a very reasonable price
Highly recommend to any visitor or locals

The first thing to hit you is the friendliness of the staff. Real country hospitality making you feel like they want you there. The service is amazing. So quick. Orders taken & within minutes everything is on your table. Great open steak sandwiches. Coffee is excellent. A good choice!

Poets Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson are reputed to have drunk at the bar of this hotel, previously known as the Commercial Hotel.
Wow what a great lunch. Thought I would order a side salad for $8 expecting the standard. What a visual surprise and a tasty delight. Seasonal rock melon, crumbled feta with toasted bread crumbs mixed lettuce blanched beans fantastic variety. The chicken schnitzel burger was also a great surprise chicken tenderloins perfectly crumbed with paper thin slices of fresh pineapple, bacon and melted cheese with beautiful french fries.

I have walked past Thyme to Taste and not really sure how they kept going as it looked so small but for a change I went in and it opened up to other small rooms behind the counter area and in the back to a courtyard. I should have gone in years ago. Food and drinks were good and we enjoyed a lovely Spring day in the courtyard.

We were surprised at how good the food was. Grilled barramundi with chips and salad wasn't too big a meal .. just right for me and hubby had a vegetarian burger and chips which he said was good. Meals were served piping hot.

After several nights of eating in pubs (good as they were) it was nice to have a change of environment and food. Good little wine bar with tasty little food offerings, excellent beers and wine choices. Welcoming hosts and a quaint atmosphere. Very enjoyable light meal.
