Great crowd, nice outdoor seating, a great setting.
The breakfasts are ridiculously good – filling, well-made, delicious. The service is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. And of course, the drive there is awesome.
By the way, this isn't *that* Alice's Restaurant – that one was in Stockbridge, MA.

This urbane and upscale pizza and Italian small-plates place is something the Peninsula has been waiting for. I'm usually a traditionalist when it comes to pizza toppings, but even their more unusual versions--sausage with honey!--work like a charm and are absolutely delicious. Small plates are very good, too, although I thought the bare-bones meatballs would have benefited from a little tomato sauce. The owners are very hands on and extremely welcoming, and the lively vibe would be right at home in SF or even Wine Country. A great addition to the Peninsula dining scene!
Was served by Liam and was very pleased. The Burrata Plate was interesting and the pork meatballs were delicious. Very tasty! The little gem salad was well made and we enjoyed the pizza. Definitely first class. Will certainly return.

While the food here seems a little over the top (humungous pastrami sandwiches dripping with fat and juice), the beer selection cannot be surpassed anywhere close by. A wide selection of Belgian beers & glassware suited to each type of beer makes this place special. While a little perverse in a beer bar (I don't like beer), I ordered the vinho verde (Portugal) and it was pretty good.

Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.
Getting a table at Evvia takes time as it's always fully booked and for a good reason. The food is amazing, the service is delightful and excellent. The setting is perfect. And although the restaurant is big, it's still very cozy. Whatever you order for starters, I highly recommend the melted cheese with oregano and the grilled vegetables with Greek yogurt. The lamb shanks are tender and melt in the mouth. The chicken rotisserie is tasty and juicy...really, the whole menu is tantalizing...and the dessert, we asked for the house favorite and though it looks like Baclava, it is tastier and creamy and is served with pistachio ice cream. Oh, and they have a great wine collection!

We recently visited Kabul Afghan Cuisine again. This is one of our very FAVORITE restaurants. The service is spectacular and the food is delicious. The flavors of the food are delicious and the meals are perfectly prepared. The portions are ample and there is an interesting ambience in the restaurant.

Five of us dined at lunch time, with 2 of us very happy with the scampi pasta special of the day @$18.00, one of us happy with the chicken sandwich, one very happy with the $23.00 linguini with clams and the fifth not happy. Happy only with the quality, that is, not the quantity.
The lamb chops, $29.00, were only 2 medallions the size of a silver dollar with a side of Greek salad on the plate, no veggies or starch. The diner was still hungry so a dessert was ordered. The specials are listed on a chalkboard above the bar so note them as you are seated if possible. The pasta dishes are the best as they are in an acceptable price range and are cooked perfectly. The noise level was unbearable as we had to lean in to hear each other. The service is good but sparse as we were only checked on once.

The Creamery is clearly a peoples choice place - I look at where the locals go and found this place pretty popular from morning till night (but not crowded)! The staff were really attentive and helpful and the food was just as I expected - tasty and generous portions at a reasonable (for Palo Alto) price. lots of good burger options and some really tasty looking pies to choose from cooked daily on site. This is a place that takes pride in being what it is and that is just fine with me.

Stopped at Bucks after being in the Santa Cruz Mtns to find and gather this years Xmas tree.
It was mid afternoon, we were seated immediately. Bucks is full of memorabilia, it’s everywhere and interesting to check out.
We started with their potato skin appetizer. It was very good. Nice toppings with guacamole, sour cream etc...
A couple of us had their Onion Soup which was very good, kind of a typical onion soup, although a very nice cheese topping.
I had their Chili....I was quite disappointed. It was barely warm. Tasted like a typical canned chili. Highlight was some large chunks of meat.
Service was fine.... had to ask for water refills twice.
Likely my last time to Bucks.

Angelica's has an indoor restaurant that transforms into a live music venue; it has outdoor dining on a charming wrap around patio with heat lamps; and it has a very nice bar. I love a late weekend lunch on the patio with friends and Angelica's "bottomless mimosas." I also love seeing music in a setting that feels like a nightclub. The food is usually very good. I would recommend the portobello sandwich or the sliders. From my experience, the main course salads are not big enough to fill you up if you are hungry. Though the food is not 5 star, it is very good. Last time I was there, the soup of the day was a lettuce soup, and it was exceptional. Highly recommend!

There's parking underneath which is free. Order at the counter (we did have a long line) and then find a table. Lots of outside seating but it's very popular.
