It can get pretty crowded here. The pizza is good.the salads are excellent.the lasagna is great. In general the food is good.the atmosphere is not great.

What the . . . ? Holy cow. Awesome! Was not expecting to find something this good in Melville, NY.
We had a Reuben, which was unbelievably good, a Philly-style cheesesteak, which was delicious, and a buffalo roast chicken sandwich, which was very good.
We will be back!

It's not often we eat at Italian restaurants as my husband is a fantastic Italian cook so when we do, we obviously want it to be a good experience. Have been to joanina's twice and their food is outstanding. One of the best cups of espresso my husband has ever had has been at Joanina. Portions are plentiful and prices are reasonable.
Definitely recommend reservations as they fill up fairly quickly.
Looking forward to taking my picky Italian parents here for dinner!

Four of us went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening. We arrived earlier than our reservation time, but were seated promptly. We had a corner booth and it was relatively quiet making us feel like we had the restaurant to ourselves. We ordered the following entrees: salmon, scallops and Bronzino. Entrees were well prepared and declicious, as were the desserts. The service was excellent and prices average for the area for a nice meal. We'll definitely return to this restaurant.

Good value and assured quality, great hamburgers, pasta selections, great appetizers, deserts galore including a wide selection of cheese cakes, "My favorite" the Chocolate Tower cake(contains no cheese it will feed three. For the vegetarian there are an assortment of salads such as a beet salad with goat cheese and a wonderful Cesar Salad these are just two of my favorites (In my opinion one of the best on Long Island and in New York City.) For the kids, assorted pizza's and unlimited fountains drinks including ice teas.

First time here and did not know what to expect. Well....... Lovely place, amazing food and great service. One of the best meals I ever had. The Manhattan salad was amazing...shrimp,bacon,green beans,onions and tomato's in a light vinegrette. Lobster tail was perfect as was the Filet Mignon. The cheese cake was delicious. Our server, a lovely short haired red headed gal was excellent. Can't wait to return.

My husband and I planned on meeting a friend for dinner at Butera's in Woodbury. I called for a reservation even though it was a Monday night. The person who answered asked how many people. I told him 3 plus a service dog. He told me we had to eat outside with the dog. Meanwhile the weather forecast was for severe thunderstorms and possible tornadoes. My reply was, you don't understand. I have a certified service dog with a vest. His reply was, well you still have to sit outside. My reply was, that is totally illegal and you are discriminating against me. His reply was, then fine, I will let you in, and hung up on me. Needless to say, we never went. I have never been treated in such a rude way with my dog. They can find business elsewhere, but I will never set foot in this restaurant.

We popped in for a snack, and immediately got through two bowls of the freshly made guacamole! (Four of us) with corn chips and a “not too hot” tasty salsa! A table for two please, one of our old favorites but been a while. Service excellent with a new set of servers, drinks made and presented well, menu specials explained intelligently and food served just as cocktails were finished. Food was excellent as was the evening.
