Fantastic location in the castle which dominates the skyline above the quaint old town of Wolfsberg. The castle has been fully renovated and offers spectacular views from its wonderful Terrace. We wtched the sunset from here while enjoying drinks and light evening snacks. Friends had recommended the venue after dining here earlier in the week. The staff are friendly and the service was good.

Cafino is my favourite coffee shop in Wolfsberg. It also specialises in wines from the local vineyards and local produce.
Inside, you will find Cafino to be beautifully well designed and a relaxing place to be. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is perfect.
I love having a coffee and a cake here. The choice of local wines is also excellent. Cafino serves breakfast dishes as well as light snacks. It does specialise in coffee and wine.

20 Euro! Leider schon etwas betriebsblind. Schade, weil die Torten schmecken!

This simple, classically furnished Italian ristorante was at the end of a short alleyway in the old town part of Wolfsberg. There is a cosy indoors area and a bright outdoor eating area. Our order was promptly taken, and the food was very quickly cooked. At an average of 8.50 Euros (£7 or $11) the pizzas were very good value too - and very tasty and generous as well. Highly recommended. Don't be put off by the slightly scruffy approach shared with a couple of other businesses - the Zum Italiener is very good.

We spent two evenings out of our three in Wolfsberg in the Br. Franz Josef. This is a multi faceted business near the town centre, offering a bakery, brewery, restaurant, and bar. The food is traditional Germanic fayre, but well presented and cooked, and very good value too. To cap it off the home brewed Wolfsbrau beer is first class - I recommend the Naturtrup, which is an unfiltered lager style. You can eat in either the restaurant or bar, and there are private rooms for groups too.
For example, we had 2 starters, 2 mains, a salad plus 5 pints (!) and the bill only came to a very reasonable £32 ($48). Helpful staff, with an English menu too. Every town should have a place like this.

This is quite a large Italian Restaurant, serving typical Italian dishes. We all had pizza and we were all very happy with our choices.
Service was friendly, the pizza menu is large, although we had a vegetarian with us and the choice was a little limited for her.
We also had a nice wine with the meal.
If you like a decent pizza, Pizza per Tutti is a good choice.

I am in Wolfsberg on a business trip and so far have been limited in what I can eat as a vegan. My Austrian colleague arranged a special vegan platter from Pollheimerwirt and it did not disappoint. I received a beautiful plate of food which had been made especially for me and tasted delicious! It was excellent value and included a tasty starter salad and garlic bread.
My carnivore colleagues tucked into what they tell me was a tasty steak but I’ll take their word for it.
I definitely hope to return before I head back to Glasgow...

Typical Italian cuisine and wine. Pasta (noodles), fish and meat dishes. Homemade sweets and good Italian wines.
Informal and welcoming atmosphere. All the fish is very fresh and comes directly from the Venetian lagoon twice a week. I ate cold fish appetizers (crab meat with radicchio trevigiano: amazing!), spaghetti with clams and tuna roe, baked turbot fish. All at the highest level! I've been well advised on wine, also trying organic wine. Keep it up, to make this place a point of reference for fish in Carinthia!
