Wise is a town in Wise County, Virginia, United States. The population was 3,286 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Wise County. It was originally incorporated as the town of Gladeville in 1874. The town's name was changed to Wise in 1924. Wise is named after Henry A. Wise, the last Virginia governor before the American Civil War and the first governor to hail from the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

The pies are mouth watering. The meringue is baked to a golden brown and is the best. They have chocolate, butterscotch, and coconut cream pies. They are made from scratch with an old family receipt. The pies are worth traveling for.

We love to have pizza a the Moon Dog Brick Oven in Wise, VA. Management and staff a friendly, helpful, and professional and they take the time to get to know their customers. This makes for an even better experience when dining out. Our family enjoys the pizza, the bread sticks, even the salad! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Had a great supper here on a Thursday evening. Decided on a couple of appetizers ( crab cakes and fried green tomatoes) and they were excellent! Weather was great so we decided to dine outside and really enjoyed it.

We visited Romano's Wise location for a business lunch. We chose one of the lunch specials ,a large thick crust pizza at a very reasonable price. The server told us they had a large order ahead of us but really the wait was not an issue. Upon delivery the pizza, we were amazed at the size , and the abundance of cheese and our two chosen topping. I would lean on the thick crust over the original because of the unique taste of the bread crust.

Needing lunch, we stopped at The Diner.
The waitress was friendly and the food was delicious.
The hamburgers were hand formed and the fries were outstanding! I love it when my meal is freshly made!

There are several Mexican restaurants in Wise county but none of them can compare to Monterrey. Great food. Comes out fast and service is good. If you are looking for Mexican food look no further than Monterrey. Family and I come here atleast once a week.

My husband I stopped here after attending the Wise Fall Festival. It was so good. The catfish was not perfectly cooked, crispy ends with a tender middle. The outside was crispy with no greasiness that you usually find with fried fish. My husband loved the BBQ sandwich. Both meals were more than enough and the prices were very reasonable. Seriously good eats here! So glad we live in the area now. We'll definitely be back!

Needing a place for lunch, my wife and I stopped at El Castillo. I am glad we did! The food and service were magnifico and the ambiance was authentic!
If we lived in Wise, this would be a hangout for us.
Give them a try, you will be glad you did.

Sunday after Graduation family farewell with breakfast buffet. There was lots of choice and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were 14 of us. You can order waffles and eggs in addition to the buffet.

A quick stop for fast food while traveling. Normally don't even think about these kind of stops but the people there were so fast and friendly and totally dedicated to service. As far as Hardees establishments go, wish this was the only one that the rest had to copy. great staff and cleanliness standards were high.
