Amazing traditional South African cuisine. Everything made from excellent quality ingredients. They cook with olive oil, sea salt, fresh whole foods. We love the salmon dinner, salmon salad, vegetarian wrap, smoked chicken. Ok, everything I have eaten there has been amazing. You must see this superb little restaurant for your self. Service is great and its in a fun, classy atmosphere. Great for parties or a quiet date night. It is BYOB, although they offer a few free house wine options. Lovely place. Vegetarian and gluten free available. The prices are great for the amazing quality of the food.

Food is good, not great. Staff is nice. Restaurant is clean. But it isn't as nice as Mt. Vernon. What bothers me the most is that everywhere else we go, l get a small drink but in Winnsboro the small is a medium. And they put bacon on things that are not advertised with bacon so if you have allergies or religious convictions about pork, you might double check with them for pork products. But we do keep going back :-)

My husband and I went here for dinner last Saturday. Great crab cakes and delicious wine ? you cannot beat the atmosphere either- unlike any winery we have ever been to. Bella Stella is a must if you are in the east Texas area!

Great local place, staff is always pleasant and provide good service. Portions are large, they have really good ranch dressing and the rolls are to die for.

Husband ordered Chicken Parmesan. It was obviously microwaved, since the breading was soggy and the chicken was rubbery. NOT EDIBLE. I"m pretty sure they knew it was bad and tried to pass it off, because when he told them he couldn't eat it, the owner just picked it up and carried it off. No apology, nothing. She never said a word. Never offered to take it off the bill... When it came time to pay, I told the other owner (her husband) that the meal was terrible and I didn't feel comfortable paying for it. At least he took it off our bill... Probably won't go back.

You will most likely have to ask where to find this place but when you do you will be thrilled. With that being said, if you like authentic Mexican food and not Tex-Mex you will love it, because it is the real thing.

We drove to Winnsboro just to have lunch at The Bowery as an outing for the day. We decided to try this restaurant since we had never eaten here before, but I wasn't impressed. We sat on the small patio and our waitress was not very helpful. Service was slow in spite of it being about 2:30 and not crowded. The home cooked potato chips with a southwest dip was enjoyable. I had the Chicken BLT salad with Chianti Basil dressing, while my husband had the Southwest Chicken Salad, and the chicken was totally overcooked and dry on both. Neither of us enjoyed the chicken and ended up leaving most of it on the plate. They do have a decent wine menu, but we were not drinking that afternoon. Their ladies room could use some sprucing up, but I don't guess that matters to some people.
