Stopped by for lunch and it was really good, very busy place with lots of locals. Got fried fish and it was very good, fresh salad. Fast service and very clean. Wife to texas salad and it was huge. We would come back again.

Yummy Blue Bell Ice Cream at a roadside stand. Sno cones, sundaes, root beer floats, waffle cones and more. Right before White Bluff Resort outside of Whitney. Worth the little drive!

We are camping at Whitney on our way back to Ohio. We stopped here in December and really liked the food. I tried the catfish this time and it was very good Had some leftover for breakfast. Just good food here. Pleasant people wish we could take it back to Ohio!

We sometimes drive by certain restaurants on our daily commute and notice that these certain restaurants always seem to be packed.
Tres Herman's in the wonder town of Whitney, Texas is one that is usually packed, but upon entering the resturaunt one of the first things you'll notice is the staff always has a smile on their face. That's because they love their job, and will always go out of their way to make you comfortable. This is a authentic mexican resturaunt, that is kept spotless and has THE BEST mexican food in central Texas. They offer several signature plates including the Alex special that is really a large sampler of several other dishes.
My wife Debra and I love the chance to try different items when we are there. My personal favorite are the stuffed peppers which is very good. The taco salad is great, and they even offer chicken fried steak that is not bad at all.
The resturaunt is located at the intersection of f.m. 933 and hwy 22 in Whitney, Texas. They do not serve beer or anything like that, but they have the best ice tea and Diet Coke around.
Stop by and you will truly be glad you did!

We had burger and fries at Bobby's. We stopped at Bobby's, since we wanted burgers like home made, not from a fast food franchise.
We really loved their simple old fashioned burgers. And they were big too!
I'm pretty sure we'll be back for more someday.

Four of us were in town for a band competition at the local high school so decided to eat at Monte's... The food was very good..great flavor, perfect portions.. Our only complaint...we were served our food separately.. One got food, waited 5-7 minutes for another plate and then 5-7 minutes again for the last too...no special orders or requests just straight off the menu..other than that it was a good experience

What a hidden gem. Okay this place is not fancy, but it's clean and the food is awesome! The owner makes everything "to order" so it takes a little more time as he makes one meal at a time. The portions are huge and the prices are excellent. Food was so good, we had breakfast here two days in a row! They serve breakfast all day. Locals also love their sandwiches (corned beef, reubens, pastrami, "french dip", etc.) Go and enjoy!
