Papa Browns Grill; A recipe for success. Papa Browns Grill is a unique, purpose built, family restaurant in a superb location. It is ideally situated beside the beautiful and historical Carrickfergus Castle and famous Marina. We have the simple belief that good food, well delivered in a stylish environment is a ‘recipe for success'. The diverse range of customers who dine in Papa Browns will notice the relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere, which is created by our superb décor, dimmed lighting, modern music and our visual large screen playing music videos. It is the perfect spot for any social gathering, from family celebrations to a romantic meal for two or even just a coffee with friends. We are open 7 days a week from 9am until late, providing an extensive menu of delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner including a children’s section. We have recognised that there are a large number of people with specific dietary requirements and provide easy access to vegetarian and celiac menus. Gift vouchers are able to be purchased and a takeaway service is also available. We also have our own private off road parking which is a desirable feature. To make a reservation or enquiry please telephone the restaurant, email or call in. Papa Browns is the perfect location for any event whether business, pleasure or celebration.
We had brunch here today - service was very good, food good as well. It filled up fast at lunchtime. Prices are very reasonable and for what you get it's good.

The best of international cooking using great local produce served with flair.
It was a windy night and we were seeking shelter as well as some fare to balance the inclement nature outside - and the Restaurant managed this most famously...

One of the best indaian restaurants ever visited for quality of food, ambience, service
Enjoyed another fabulous meal here on Saturday evening.
Staff lovely, menu excellent and service 2nd to none.
Starters 2 between 3 of us, onion bhaji and pakora delicious (the jam/chutney was gorgeous!), chicken tikka chilli masala, vegetable Rogan Josh, Chicken Balti served with pilau, chips and naan!
All beautifully served and the favours were exquisite!
Washed down with a cold Cobra!
Couldn't be better!
Thank you!

Regularly dine here, the honey chilli chicken is a particular highlight and the salmon! The pavlova is exceptional and I was pleased to hear everything was made from scratch. Bentra never fails, always leave satisfied and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating! Couldn’t recommend it...MoreDear Sara C, Thnak you for your kind review, We are delighted to hear you have always left Bentra Grill satisfied. Visited this pub and restaurant for many years and recently regularly with elderly family for Sunday Lunch
Mothering Sunday is probably the busiest
day in the restaurant calendar.
So it was disappointing to see the prices increased by £3.00 per main course for this special day.
With no added value for the occasion
A low point in what is usually a pleasant visit.

Award Winning Carrickfergus restaurant Sozo has recently been taken over by New Management who would like to take this opportunity to welcome customers old and new. After enjoying a complete refurbishment, the new, stunning, modern interior compliments the incredible food that people have come to expect and enjoy. From a quick bite to a lavish lunch, come and pay us a visit - your new favourite eatery is only a journey away!
Haven't been here for a while but never disappointed. The menu had a nice variety and the food was amazing with extremely friendly staff which makes it an even better experience. Looking forward to the next treat already.

Had the chilli chicken goujons. Very good. Big side salad with lettuce, tomatoes, green and yellow peppers, plus coleslaw. Choice of potato, I had their garlic bites. £8.95. Available as a starter portion, as well. Free newspapers to read, and half of Whitehead going by the window. There was even a sensible cat who came to huddle under a chair outside, on the decking, until the Sun came out and it went on its way.

We ate here as a group of 6 on a Saturday night, it didn't take long for us to be seated but it did take about 20 minutes before someone came for drinks orders which is quite a while considering other tables beside were being served.
We got the voodoo bread and the chicken strips as a starter - both were lovely, portions were huge though - would have preferred less! As a main I got the chicken strips in sweet chilli sauce with sweet potato fries and onion rings, my fiancee got the ribs with sweet potato fries and corn on the cob. He absolutely loved the ribs and corn and I thought the chicken was good BUT the sweet potato fries were awful, not cooked properly and some were still raw which is disappointing as sweet potato fries are my favourite.
The server cleared the table and asked if we wanted a dessert menu (which we did) but we then had to wait another 15 mins for the menu to come out. Once ordered though dessert came out quickly apart from the coffee I had ordered, everyone else was finished with their dessert by the time the coffee came so everyone was left waiting for me to finish my coffee. For £150 I would have expected a better service for sure, the service used to be great so I'm not sure what's changed since the last time went here but unfortunately we won't be rushing back this time!

Extremely disappointed after today's lunch in seasons. Three of us all ordered deli sandwiches for £6.95. These are normally quite big ciabatta sandwiches but the portions we received today were extremely small with hardly any filling inside. As can be seen from the photo below the sandwiches we all got were tiny. I'm still starving! We complained complained to staff twice before we left but nothing was done for us. What a waste of money. Will be going elsewhere in future.
