Located at mile marker 147.4 On Route 3 in Twin Mountain, NH.
We happened upon this restaurant last year while visiting the Mt Washington area. It was a non-descript diner that had lots of cars in the parking lot which intrigued us. (You can read my previous excellent review on Trip Advisor.)
This year we specifically planned on breakfast there, and it was a godsend after our hugely disappointing dinner experience at Mt Washington Resort and Dining Room the night before.
As before, you hardly notice it from the road except for the congested traffic in their parking lot. Inside, it was humming with a continuing flow of both locals and tourists. The revolving ladies at the counter all knew each other, there were local regulars of all kinds, and a large middle-Eastern family was accommodated within a blink of an eye. Everyone blended transparently.
The family and staff who run Munroe’s have been there forever and it’s a marvelously smooth operation. Service was impeccable.
As I said before, the menu has some unique offerings (the cheese grits were the best; the Redneck Benny the most unique), but you can order any other combination you want to concoct. Both of our breakfast meals that we chose were superb, so feel free to select anything and enjoy.
And, prices are amazingly modest for the quality and quantity of the food they serve. Don’t drive pass it!

What a find! This very popular restaurant offers top notch cuisine. It is extremely popular so advance booking is recommended. We did not book in advance and were squeezed in to eat at the bar, but only after waiting for an hour. Its was worth it. It closes out of season (last day this year is November 3rd) which is a great shame! Staff were very friendly and almost every menu item was, or could be made, gluten free. Also very good for vegetarians and vegans.

We were in town for a wedding and when we asked for restaurant recommendations locals would tell us about restaurants and describe the food by the portion size. We prefer quality over quantity.
We read TripAdvisor and then we paid s visit to a few restaurants. This looked like that most sophisticated that we saw in town.
The restaurant is very tastefully decorated with brick walls, candles hidden in the brick, black and white prints and dim lighting. It small seating about 32 on 10 tables.
We started with wine by the glass - the best cab was a Kendall Jackson - just ok.
Then we ordered the Chicken Ravioli with Gorgonzola, Caramelized Onions and Balsamic Glaze - exceptional.
Next we received a salad with vinaigrette dressing and lots of sliced Parmesan cheese.
I ordered the cornmeal and red chili breast of chicken with avocado vinaigrette with lime crime fraiche. The main course was very good. It was served with au gratin potatoes, spinach soufflé, fresh carrots, asparagus, onions and sweet potato mash potatoes - too much. We would have been happy with the Augustin and asparagus of spinach.
My wife ordered the basil olive oil scented salmon with wild mushroom sherry sauce and loads of vegetables as explained above.
We were pleased with our meals - more sophisticated than expected for such a small town.
They served us two fudge bites as we departed.
We would return if ever in Littleton again.
Everyone was recommending these Diner restaurants, this looked more to our liking and it was a good choice.
We were lucky in Friday to walk in and get table on this Friday night. Every seat was filled - one server - that slowed it down a bit towards the end.
Return - absolutely.

Our food is recognized as some of the best in the area and our service is the best!! We offer everything from a full course dinner to a burger and fries ... everything is homemade, even our desserts!! We have a full bar, a great selection of draft & bottled beers and entertainment some nights. My guarantee to you is once you have been here YOU WILL BE BACK!Next to the Weathervane Theatre, we provide pre theatre and after theatre dining. During the summer we serve until after midnight! days and hours vary by season Closed march and april
We made a reservation here to have dinner before attending the Weathervane Theater next door. Great menu with many choices. To our surprise, the waitress served our drinks along with our "will-call" tickets to the theater! They had our name and knew we were going to theater and so picked up our tickets for us. I was impressed!
Service was excellent, food was delicious .... highly recommend if you are a theater goer like us and want dinner beforehand.

I skip any other Dunkin Donuts in this area and go to the Whitefield one. They get it RIGHT....every time. The coffee is always fresh...no burn taste , like bottom of the pot, that I've experienced too often at the other locations. The staff , after three or four visits, remembers you and your usual requests. They're also always smiling and friendly. I actually called corporate after a visit to this location, to compliment the staff. I like certain modifications to my usual order and they accommodate me perfectly. There is no drive through here, and backing out , when you return to your car, is sometimes awkward, but that just tells you how superior this location is, that you'll get out of your car in a blizzard, just to go in and get your "fix".

Went on a Thursday with my wife and friends. Sat in the downstairs bar area. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Place was clean and comfortable. We had wings and a spicy pizza. Both were great. Will add this to one of our regular stops going forward. Highly recommend it. Not open for lunch though.

This breakfast/lunch place with a bit weird opening times fits perfectly with the north country. The interior and exterior are work in progress or work abandoned, not sure which. Food items are fine and made with friendliness and attention. Not a place for city slickers that are used to polished surroundings. Pricing does not reflect the ambiance.

My husband Paul and I celebrated our wedding reception at the MVG in April 2014 and loved every second of it! Every year, we go back to celebrate our anniversary and cheers to the wonderful memories we had here in 2014 and since then! We always make a point to have a wonderful dinner at the 1865 Wine Cellar.
As soon you enter The Cellar, you are instantly transported to an incredibly romantic and dimly lit environment. The ambiance is perfect and sets the mood for a special occasion and the food is simply divine! On this particular night, there was an appetizer called "The Forest Floor" which consisted of foraged mushrooms, juniper, sorrel, rye, edible flowers and other delights. When they brought it out, I was blown away by the beauty of the dish. It was truly enchanting!!!! It was as if they presented a real forest floor on a plate...with the fog of the morning and everything. It was an experience! I can honestly it was the best appetizer I have ever had in my life. So delicious! I had tasted flavors that were new to me and were so full of flavor (yet, not overpowering). Hats off the chef who created this masterpiece! What an artist!
Our entrees were also absolutely delicious with every bite melting in our mouths. The wine selection was endless and the dessert was fantastic (and also a true piece of art!). We are going back this April to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary and have already made our dinner reservations at The Cellar. we can't wait to celebrate the wonderful memories we consistently have at The MVG! I should also note that we just love seeing the folks that work there every year as well. They are always so friendly and helpful. Thanks, Sue, Shelby and the rest of the staff! We look forward to seeing you all again in April and toasting to the wonderful service and experience you provide to your very grateful guests! Cheers!
