Wheelersburg is approximately 7 miles (11 km) east of Portsmouth and 14 miles (23 km) west of Ironton. It is in Porter Township. The population was 6,437 at the 2010 census.

First visit there. The vegetable soup was great. Had a small cheeseburger. A larger eater may was 2 or more. Served fast. Service was a little confusing. Had to ask for more service each time.

I had the combo hot ham and cheese with a side salad. Of course, I had the freds red on the salad and it was so good as I remember. My brother and mother also had the combos and got onion rings and fries. They looked delicious!

Although people I know rave about this restaurant I keep getting taken here and am never impressed. Today it was for lunch. We had the BBQ sandwich which is highlighted on the menu and the Reuben Sandwich. The BBQ was nothing special and the side of slaw was laughable. It was in a plastic condiment container - no more than 2 TBSP full. Chips with the sandwiches meant a small bag of chips. I have tried dinners here before and have also had that mediocre feeling which others describe. And agree the ribs (pork chops) are often dry.

We recently stopped at the Dairy Queen in Wheelersburg, OH for ice cream. We will not go back. An employee was standing at the cash register making an ice cream cake. She put the cake on the plate, dropped spoonsful of soft ice cream on top, smoothed it out with a knife, and then took her hand and ran her fingers down the knife to put the extra ice cream back in the bucket. All of this was done without gloves and without a hairnet. If she had taken orders, (and I'm thinking she did since she was working next to the register), she would have handled money and then the food without putting on gloves.

Their pastries and cakes are delicious! I had a special cake made for a class reunion and they did a terrific job decorating it just as ordered. The taste of all their goodies is fantastic and prices are the best around.

Giovanni's is Giovanni's buffet is ok with pizza, pasta and bread no sandwiches or salad. Buffet price is reasonable menu pizza is a bit high.

The food is the best in my area but the dining room needs a serious cleaning, more lighting, and an update. looking dingy. If you can get past the atmosphere it is good.

This is a deli with hot meals, Chester Chicken, and a very good pizza at a price you wont believe. Plus you can grab a few groceries.
