Indisputably, Grand Cayman's premier restaurant. Blue by Eric Ripert is where both guests and Caymanians come to be beguiled by true epicurean artistry Seafood menus inspired by the bounty of Cayman's fishermen Featuring locally-caught and responsibly-fished seafood Select from a three course prix fixe menu, four course set menu, or a seven course Eric Ripert Tasting Menu Wine cellar featuring more than 800 selections Awards: AAA Five Diamond Award 2006-2015 Wine Spectator - Best of Award of Excellence 2008-Present
My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Blue during a recent stay at the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman. This restaurant is not to be missed. From start to finish an absolutely amazing experience. The staff was friendly and engaging. The sommelier was knowledgeable and they had an absolutely incredible wine list. There were options regarding tasting menus. We went with the “blue” menu which was centered around locally sourced fish. It was one of the finest tasting menus that I’ve ever experienced. We did it with the wine pairings which were all carefully and beautifully matched. The flavors were delicate and the fish was perfectly prepared often served with absolutely delicious French style sauces to add an extra layer of richness. We also went with the additional $50 truffle shavings which was well worth it. I have been to LeBernardin and found this restaurant to be much more relaxed and less “business like“. The decor was beautiful. The pre-dinner craft cocktail was absolutely amazing. Again highly recommend this restaurant which is a true jewel in Grand Cayman.

Hadn't visited for a while so reserved for Sunday evening dinner. Not overly busy and yet service was ridiculously fast; no time to digest first course as waiter standing over the table ready to serve main courses whilst first course plates were cleared. Great location, really good food but they appear to have policy of clearing diners through as quickly as possible, even when not busy, which takes the edge of what would otherwise be a really good dining experience.

I was expecting all kind of chicken dish options (sandwiches, grilled, chicken salads), but they have one offering: rotisserie chicken. It's a great, flavorful option though, and there are many delicious sides to choose from. It's also reasonably priced, and the serving sizes were large.

The service was always great, (Kimalyn, Colin!) and the portions were generous! Eating poolside is always relaxing!

Copper Falls Steakhouse presents one of the most unique and innovative menus ever seen. Not only does every entrée include a complimentary martini, well-drink or beer, you also get to choose which vegetables and starch you prefer – plus each steak dinner has a choice of six different sauces. From an 8-ounce Filet to a 28-ounce Porterhouse, our Certified Angus Beef steaks are hand-cut and aged 28 days before grilling to your liking. If you fancy something other than steaks, our menu also offers Rack of Lamb, Center-Cut Pork Chop, various chicken and seafood dishes, as well as several vegetarian dishes.
What a pleasant surprise to visit Copper Falls Steakhouse, very unexpected and surprisingly good. Service, food and property was very nice.
Even eating on the side where the bar was, was quiet and easy conversation. Apps were great. I had escargot, very classically prepared and of course a ribeye, perfectly seasoned and seared. Wine selection was very well rounded and surprisingly affordable. All in all, Copper Falls was a great find and will definitely be making some Reservations there on our next trip down. You should too.

Three things about The Cracked Conch: The ladder off the deck lets you enter the best snorkeling ever. With all the craters and holes, it feels like you’re on the moon. Second, the casual atmosphere and yummy bar food (fish) downstairs are yummy with a romantic atmosphere on the water. Third, we had a special occasion dinner upstairs. Poached lobster for me and garlic shrim with linguini for my other. Order the baked Alaska for desert. Super! Also lovely, romantic atmosphere and superb service. Why 4 stars, not 5? Bread warmed in the microwave. Wouldn’t stop us from going back. Also a shoutout to Helen. Terrific wait person who goes out of her way to please.

On crossing the wooden bridge that leads to Ristorante Pappagallo, you will see swimming beneath there are sleek silvery tarpon, always on the lookout for scraps from the kitchen. You are thus, thrown into a world of the exotic, even before reaching the front door! Then, as you enter the spacious foyer, you're met at the front door by an African gray parrot, humorously called Humphrey Bogart. He is one of the oldest Pappagallo employees with over ten years experience in welcoming guests and posing for photos (especially with the little ones!). You will then immediately notice the inviting and well-stocked bar, decorated in an art deco style, where customers can take pre-dinner drinks or enjoy an after dinner drink in a cool and inviting atmosphere. On your right hand side, lies one of our two dining rooms, the Pappagallo Room. Inside, the impressive high ceiling will grab your attention, with its typical Mexican-style thatching. Wrought iron lights gently illuminate the air-conditioned room and huge glass-fronted bird cages feature all around the walls housing live parrots, macaws, cockatoos and African grays, all vying for your attention. The walls are also decorated with colorful pictures of parrots and a giant turtle shell which came from a 500 pound green sea turtle, which was raised in Cayman at West Bay's Turtle Farm. All this, and a great view of the waterfall cascading into the lagoon directly outside the room... how can you possibly forget that you are dining in a tropical paradise? On your left hand side of the foyer is the Flamingo Room, also with a fabulous thatched roof, this time in a traditional Cayman style. The entire roofing used 100,000 fronds and took over 6 months to construct - no mean feat. The Flamingo Room is left open to catch the cooling breeze, but is air-conditioned when the weather dictates. Here, you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view over the lagoon. Large prints of flamingos decorate the walls and again, wrought iron lights lend their soft glow.Beyond this room lies a third eating area, the Garden Patio, a large screened- in porch where diners eat al fresco during the cooler winter months. This also has a magnificent lagoon view and Pappagallo usually caters for large parties & weddings here.
Decent dinner restaurant with a beautiful ambiance. The water view is very nice. The appetizers were amazing and by far our favorite part of the meal. The portobello mushroom app and pumpkin ravioli app were delicious. The main course was just so-so. Dessert was also just okay. The service was great.

Spend the night at Osetra Bay for my Wife's 50th Birthday and wished I had booked somewhere else!
After visiting Cayman for over 20 years and experiencing great restaurants including Osetra Bay I wanted to book a special dinner for my wife's Birthday. Osetra Bay is her favourite but on this occasion we were let down. I booked the diner at least 6 months in advance and informed them that it was my wife's birthday. The first thing that annoyed me was that they wouldnt let me decorate the table or even let me do anything that would represent her 50th birthday. They stated that "it wasn't that type of restaurant" I wasn't asking for a redecoration of the restaurant or the table I just wanted some flowers and sprinkles on it with "Happy Birthday" and 50! They declined the request but promised to make it a special night for her. I should have booked another restaurant at this time but let it go as OB is her favourite.
We arrived at the restaurant and stood around for a couple of minutes before anyone noticed us. We then sat in the lounge area and ordered some drinks. We were then shown to a table which looked like it had been placed last minute and the place settings had 4 down one side and 3 the other which i felt was like an interview. We asked if we could move 2 of the setting to either end to make it more balanced.
I noticed the 2 large round table at the left and right front section of the restaurant were already taken. This was the table that we thought we would have been given. Im sure the occupants never booked them so far in advance like I did.
The food was just ok. No where near as perfect as previous Dinners at OB. The Calarmari was luke warm and 2 of the fish mains were bland and again luke warm.
We ordered a couple of desserts including one for my wife. I was gobsmacked when they arrived as my wife's didnt have as much as a candle or Happy Birthday written on the plate like so many restaurants do. I was also about to order champagne for the table to toast my wife but decided that enough was enough and we would go elsewhere for post dinner drinks.
I did express my disappointment to one of the managers who didn't have a clue about our booking or the fact it was a special dinner even though i'd exchanged a number of Emails previously.
It was a shame as we will never go back to Osetra Bay. We have enjoyed the restaurant on many occasions over the years but i felt let down.
We had already had Breakfast at Kimpton and a great dinner at Calypso the evening before and they managed to make my wife's Birthday an occasion to remember.

Local Cayman food at it's very best. Recommended by all who have eaten there. Written up as the place to go to in the Cayman Islands by the New York Times.Heritage Kitchen lies snuggled next to Boggy Sands Road in West Bay, serving some of the best local food.Fresh fish fry, fritters and fish tea are some of the most popular dishes.Diners eat at wooden tables outside the tiny restaurant or can sit on the sea wall a few feet away and watch the waves. The restaurant is behind the Heritage shopping centre at the four-way stop.Open Wed/Thu until 8pm,Fri/Sat until 10 pm and Sunday until 8 pm which is our Barbeque Day!
We stopped here for lunch last week while on a bike tour. We all had the grouper CAYMAN style( pan seared w/ sauteed onions and tomatoes on top), a huge serving of rice, some coleslaw and fried plantains. It was a large plate of food for $12us, and even came on a real plate !!! The fish was cooked perfectly. There are picnic tables in the shade on both sides of the kitchen. You order at the window and they bring the food to you . Cash only. They do not serve alcohol, but you can bring in your own. Terrific meal !! (just a little tip for those of you travelling to Cayman Islands for the first time: the currency in Cayman is Cayman dollars. $1 cayman dollar =1.22 us dollars. All places on the island will take your US dollars, but your change will be in Cayman dollars. Pain in the neck !! We put every purchase possible on our credit card to make it easier )

We ate here on a Friday night and had a lovely table overlooking the harbor. The service was excellent and the fresh fish was superb. Although all the restaurants we visited during our stay in Grand Cayman served fresh fish, surprisingly, the fish was often served over cooked or drowning in highly seasoned sauces. A fresh fish should be allowed to shine on its own and indeed it did at Catch. I had the grouper which was perfectly cooked and served with a lemon butter sauce on the side. It melted in the mouth and could not have been more perfect. My husband had the fresh snapper with shrimp. His dish was equally well prepared and delicious.
