Bakery specializing in European style pastries and breads, assorted cookies , pies and cakes, coffee roasted in NC, and lunch soups and sandwiches. Everything made from scratch each day.
Usually luv this place for coffee and dessert and lunch. Soups are very good homemade and salads are very good.
The owner has placed brown paper bags with toiletry essentials for those in need. The past couple of visits I have become increasingly uncomfortable with some customers who linger and use rest room. I absolutely luv the idea but I go alone and not so sure will continue. Perhaps theres a better way we all can help.

Looking for a light dinner on our last night in Washington, NC, we found Grub Brothers on the web and checked the menu. They listed a baked chicken so we decided we could split this. Well we split the 1/2 chicken and it smelled good but the chick was dry, the sweet potato fries were a little floppy not crisp, but tasted good, and the cinnamon baked apples would have been better with a tart apple. The key lime pie was not quite as tart as I like it but it was good. As it turned out this was more of a meeting place with a lite meal not the restaurant we thought it would be. Had a lot of beers and wines to choose from. It was not too loud so you could enjoy conversation with the person or persons in your group and they didn't seem to mind that you were not in a hurry to leave.

Stopped by today with a friend after eating lunch downtown. First visit, even though I moved to Washington spring of last year.
Great cup of coffee at 1:45 in the afternoon. Delicious homemade cookie also.
Jennifer is very friendly and quite charming.
The Coffee Caboose closes everyday at 2:00, which might be why I've found them closed. It's a bit out of the way from downtown, but well worth the time to find this great coffee shop.

We have the best food around and a relaxing atmosphere to match. Our recipes are authentic and time-tested. The ingredients are always fresh and always North Carolina seafood. We're not fancy! Just great food! We are Amy and Tony Tripp. We offer raw North Carolina Seafood at Washington Crab and Oyster Company, so it just seemed like a natural step to offer the greatest seafood available cooked as well.- You cook or We cook! The best of both worlds!
The name is very accurate: this is a seafood shack. But that's a good thing in my opinion. They have a giant menu with lots of fresh seafood options with plenty of sides. My only complaint if you can even call it that is they...MoreSal..... So glad you found our shack and enjoyed your meal. However, we do serve bottled beer! So sorry that the staff did not let you know that. Hope to see you again soon...and next time you can enjoy a beer with your meal.

There is something for everyone at this restaurant. It is in a Historic building next to the beautiful Pamlico River. From burgers to seafood, salads and much more. I am gluten free and they have the best gluten free bread. I love the BLT. They make homemade chips that are awesome. Outdoor seating facing the river is so nice. Has a full Bar and televisions for sports fans.

This is the place for hot dogs and hamburgers for sure. A good hot dog on a toasted bun with mustard, onions, chili and slaw. Very good! And at an excellent price. The burgers are good too....same way. Soft serve ice cream is also available. CASH ONLY! Good people too.

Outstanding laid back restaurant with Tiki bar and entertainment on the water.
Absolutely adore this gem of a restaurant and bar. Sitting on the waterfront, eating GREAT food and very reasonable prices, enjoying a nice drink with an intersting mix of people and listening to great live music is a wonderful experience. We found this place when meeting friends for a birthday gathering, but we have made return trips whenever we can. The pulled pork is AMAZING on the tacos and the Cuban sandwich. Tender, cooked to perfection and very generously portioned. Don't miss this place if you are anywhere around Washington, and if you are not around Washington make it a destination!

This is a laid back restaurant serving local southern food. Their focus is service not volume. They were out of a few items the night we went but the server was very apologetic and offered other great choices. They had a unique cocktail menu and a super big cheese board. Ask for pricing and it easily served 4-6 people. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the pork chop.
