We came on the first ferry on a Saturday and shared the space with locals and tourists alike. Very open and friendly vibe. The coffee is good, and the breakfast options excellent. I was especially impressed with their bagels, but everything was well made.

One of the items on my bucket list was to camp on Rock Island. For our last meal that wasn't dehydrated camp food, we decided to patronize Fiddler's Green. I called two days before to make sure they were open when we were on the island. Kate was very friendly and helpful, and yes, they were open at the time we got there. We arrived at about 1700 hours. Kate said "you must be the birthday boy". There was a group of women there who were a singing group called the Gesso. Kate led them to sing happy birthday to me. The women were excellent singers and gave me the best rendition of the song I have ever heard. Then we were told the restaurant wasn't open for another half hour. Did we get somehow offended and slam the place? No, we took the time to visit the Stavkirke church. We got back to the restaurant and were seated in a cozy alcove. Started with a nice glass of wine and checked out the menu. There is a variety of dishes suitable for vegetarians. There were two specials that day, I had a Mediterranean plate featuring stuffed grape leaves. My wife had the trout. Both meals were outstanding! Ignore the complainers and try this place out. You will have a great experience and a great meal. Kate, you rock!

One of the things I love about Washington Island is the slower pace than the mainland. In keeping with that experience, this is the perfect dining experience. Outside beautiful picnic tables, and inside comfy coffee shop environment offers a wide range of food choices. Salads, brioche, pastries, soups, sandwiches, eggs, etc. All healthy, earthy choices made while you wait. There were five or six parties in line in front of me waiting to place their order. The process was swift, and the food quickly was brought to my table. I enjoyed all the art work on the walls, and unique complimentary services while I waited. Don't miss this place. A must do on every visit to the island.

Order at window. Outside seating. Burgers, chicken, etc. and plenty of ice cream
Don't miss this place!! We would pay the $50 ferry fees to go back. Freshly made, cooked to order burgers!! We had the Blue Cheese burger. Nice outdoor seating. Bar in back to buy a beer or wine to go with your meal. Clean and worth the wait. Central location too! Not by the water.
We tried the Mac and Cheese bites and jalapeño poppers. Both s great side.

This beautifully restored historic building exudes a calm atmosphere inside, and the patio is graced by centuries old oaks. The wine pairings suggested were excellent, and both main dishes (we love the whitefish) and sides (Our favorite: roasted brussel sprouts) are terrific. Make sure to leave room for dessert - a creme brule that featured both cocoa and orange was exquisite. Our special celebration spot on the island - and don't forget to catch the sunset over the harbor from the nearby dock.

Really really enjoyed the whitefish sandwich, but didn't try the Angostura Bitters. Folks, please offer free refills on soft drinks!

Day trip to island to sight see. Decided to trek to north side of island for lunch. What a wonderful little spot. Sandwiches were fresh and filling! Had a Dagwood and it lived up to its name. Wife had lunch special phillie and it was equally as good! Fresh baked cookies were nice for a treat later as we were too full from the lunch. Great value! Sat outside on a sunny afternoon. Great view of bay and rock island. Definitely try this place! Cashier was super friendly!!!

When we arrived to the island we were starving. After renting bikes, we rode to Island Pizza. They sell pizza by the slice and also offer other items. We got three HUGE slices of hot pizza and a bag of chicken tenders and fries. The fries were SO good! So good! They also sell dreamsicles which tasted great as it was a hot day.

My husband and I ate in the Cellar restaurant and the service was excellent and the foot was outstanding. I had the prime rib and my husband the mushroom ravioli and both of us thought it was one of the best meals we have had. In fact, the excellent waitress that served us gave me a great recipe for the sauce on the ravioli!

This is a little restaurant at the marina on Washington Island, WI. They have great food and top notch service. I found it this summer. You should include them in your reviews so more people can try their great food. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.
Glad we found this place using Trip Advisor. The food is reasonably priced for the quality of the food. All of the servers were older and ours was a hoot. We enjoyed talking to her. This is definitely a place to try if you are in the mood for a nice sit down meal.
