Delicious fish and chips in downtown Astoria right off of Marine Drive. There’s no seating, food is to go. Enjoyed lightly beer batter albacore fish and chips that were simply amazing. Chips are thick steak type fries. Vinegar, tartar and other sauces are offered as well as limited beverages.
Place is only open a few days a week, Wed-Sat at 11 until they run out of fish, but people are often lined up, outdoors, in the rain, patiently waiting…so arriving at 11ish is wise. Food is made to order, so prepare to wait depending on the line.
Parking is also limited, you’ll be fortunate to get a spot on the street close by. There is a coast guard alert parking lot below the shack, but it’s illegal to park there and towing is strongly enforced. Many risk it, but do so at their own risk.
A great place to stop for lunch if passing through town.

Arnie's Cafe is the locals favorite place on the Coast to get Breakfast, which is served all day. They also have a great lunch selection.
We stopped in for breakfast. If your looking for good old fashioned diner food that will fill you up, this is the place. We had country fried steak and eggs and eggs Benedict. Both were very good. Coffee cup never empty. Staff was friendly and efficient.

The burgers here are beyond anything else available, and prices very affordable. Then theres the soft serve ice cream and all the great treats that make Dairy Queen special.
Oh and be sure and notice the fancy road work around these businesses , brought to you by The state of Oregon dept. of transportation. It just looks like it was put together by a third world country.
The trip is well worth it. Forget the training exercise to play build a road and what that ineptitude roadwork cost Oregon taxpayers.
Back to the Dairy Queen store. One must return time after time to indulge in these treats!

Always appreciated business at this easy-access Starbucks in Warrenton; we prefer this location to counterparts in either Fred Meyers or Safeway ~ better selections for food and desert items as well as Baristas appear more motivated than at supermarket counterparts.

A cute place to stop by for some good French fries, which come with different sauces. The owner took time to explain to us why his fries are good, and how the ice cream are home made. We had both and enjoyed our little visit.

Unexpected surprise in downtown Astoria! At the suggestion of our server, we shared a platter of lamb and cabbage rolls. It was beautifully presented and delicious! They also had several regional wines from Bosnia, Croatia, etc. We finished off with the baklava and Sarajevo coffee, both of which were very good. Service was prompt and friendly. A wonderful change of pace from the usual fare.

We're a worker-owned cooperative whose mission is to serve delicious, organic food; foster joyful work; and build up our community. Every ingredient used in our foods, breads, pastry, chocolate, and coffee is sourced specifically for quality, wholesomeness, and sustainability. We foster kinship among workers, our regulars, and with our community by donating our excess to the tables of those in need; supporting our local schools, farmers, and nonprofit organizations; and offering cultural and educational events to bring people together throughout the year. Workers earn an average of $13.50 per hour, paid leave that is accrued after three months of employment, scheduling that is worker-focused and flexible, dental benefits, one staff meal and drink per five hour shift with a 30 minute paid lunch break, a 25 percent discount, a fresh loaf of bread per week, and access to wholesale ordering. The kin work involved in consensus-based decision making and management requires a commitment to communication and trust-building within the work community. What does this look like? Proactively seeking feedback before and after shifts, working – not only efficiently, but – mindfully, being a reliable person, reciprocating good will, giving direct feedback early and often, listening to seek understanding – especially in conflict, and avoiding victim mentality by being both vulnerable and accountable.
My mom, sister, and I visited for lunch. The place was busy, but the line seemed to move fast. The menu was somewhat limited and expensive. It’s probably because they use organic and local ingredients. I ended up just ordering a quiche and a water. The decor and set up is really neat and they have outdoor seating, if preferred. Our food took around 10-15 minutes to come out. My quiche was very good and everyone else enjoyed their food too.

We have been eating at Uptown regularly since it opened. Since the ownership change the quality and service has gone down significantly. The only reason we kept going back was because of our server Jennifer. Jennifer is AWESOME! We went there for breakfast this morning. Jennifer wasn’t there today and the awful service showed. We sat there for 25 minutes and watched three other tables that were seated after us have their orders taken. We had to flag one of the servers down to try to get the bill for our tea. Meanwhile we could see two servers standing in the bar area doing nothing. One was fanning herself with a bill holder. When we finally did flag a server down she argued with us about getting our bill because she wanted to take our order. We will never eat there again

I visited Coffee Addiction around noon while waiting for my vehicle's work to be completed across the street. The espresso "cafe" shares the building with an auto windshield repair shop. You can eat in with tables and a counter provided or take out. The menu is limited with a combination of breakfast and lunch items. For lunch I ordered the 3 beef tacos (see photo). They tasted fine but were small and only contained ground beef, cheese and a green Chile sauce. I added red taco sauce. I would order something else if I were to eat lunch there again. I then ordered a mocha to go and must say it was very good. They do have a drive up window which is handy if you are in a hurry. Price for lunch and mocha were a little higher than normal for this area. The barista was friendly and the place as clean. I would stop again for coffee but eat lunch elsewhere.
