Could not have been better: cute place, wonderful food, and friendly people! Authentic flavors-is there a Cuban Grandma back there in the kitchen? Loved the Cuban sandwich, and also a terrific sampler plate which gave us the chance to try several dishes. Look for a a fabulous Cilantro Pesto served at your table with tiny rounds of grilled bread. This place should not be missed!

We went early and only another couple seated. We had a large group. There we're many tables set to accommodate a large family. We were greeted and seated by a wonderful smiling young lady. Didn't take long and the tables were full. Waitress very patient and accommodating quicky brought our drinks. The menu is awesome and everyone in our group had choices. We had time yet not a long wait for our food. Everyone in our group received their food at the same time. Now for the food...Not sure how I can express how good this food is. Everything from the Panninis to the hamburgs and fries, the cabbage rolls, soup, salad was excellent and beyond. I hate to post like this because the more that know about this place lowers my chance of getting a seat but this place is too good not to share.

They advertise as “Southern Style” and I’m not sure what that means but it is good! I was there for one day but wish I could go back. The brisket was fantastic. Food is served up fast.

Our waitress and servers were very friendly.
The complimentary bread they offer is really really good. Small but yummy; ask for a second helping...they don't mind.
When we just can't decide what to order, we usually go for the salads. Plus they're hard to mess up. So I had the Calabash Chicken salad while my fiancee (!) had the Calabash Cobb salad. Both were winners. If you haven't tried their Calabash chicken, you owe it to yourself to give it a whirl. While it's not the best chicken I've ever had, it does have a unique taste that's apart from the cookie cutter chain bird found in the local area.
If you're thirsty and want an unusual cocktail, try the Category 5 Hurricane. It's similar to the ones found in Pensacola and other cities in the deep South. Caution: There's a LOT of rum included. Here's their write-up:
"Loaded up with Blue Chair Bay White Rum, Myers Rum, Orange Juice, Grenadine and housemade sweet & sour with a splash of Twist Mist® and fresh lime juice. Limit one per person." Does that sound good or what???
We really enjoyed our visit. Hope you experience the same.

Our visit was Meh at best. None of the food we had was very good but was merely passable. The appetizer was pretty good. Would not recommend the "nachos" they were sad.the cheddar bites and potato skins were decent. The tea was not sweet, the steak was bland and not cooked properly even after sending it back twice. Chicken strips and shrimp were equally bland. The waitress was great and very attentive.

Second time I have been here. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. I had a tamale and a Chile relleno. Both were very good and I enjoyed both. However, nothing at our table seemed authentic Mexican. It was typical Americanized Mexican. Service was excellent and very attentive. The margaritas were good but average. Overall a solid eatery that I will visit again.

El Jalicense was Warner Robins first Mexican restaurant. The locations on Russell and Hwy 96 are convenient and easily accessed from the street. The tamales and tacos are our favorites. Also the taco salad. The flan and churros are good for dessert. Burritos are delicious and substantial.

We love The Boarding House! While some people can't get past passing around bowls of food with perfect strangers, it's no different than a buffet. The chicken is always wonderful and so is the banana pudding and peach cobbler. They make delicious potato salad, peas, cabbage, stewed potatoes, dressing, greens, macaroni and cheese, biscuits, cornbread....dang, I'm getting hungry just talking about it!

All tacos are served on one flour tortilla or a two corn tortillas.
I live in Denver -- we have a breathtaking place called Torchy's. This local favorite actually reminded me of Torchy's. The tacos had colorful names reflecting local culture and the staff were quick and friendly. The food was really good and I look forward to going back very soon!

At Curry Mantra, we strive to offer our guests a world-class dining experience with distinctive culinary style, unique exciting dishes, flavors, aromas and textures with all of its exotic ingredients. As all of our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order, there is always something to suit everyone. We offer chicken, lamb, goat, seafood and vegetarian dishes at different levels of spicing for almost all of the items on our menu. Our food and philosophy are all inspired by one of the most ancient and diverse culture of India. We are offering a wide selection of appetizers, soups, salads, entrées, desserts and drinks.
We stopped here for lunch while traveling on I-75, being attracted by a roadside advertising billboard and really enjoyed the buffet, which had a nice variety of dishes that were well-seasoned. There were ample choices for vegetarians, including paneer curry, a shrimp curry, vegetable curry, and chicken masala, just to name a few. I have been to India multiple times and found the spice level of the food to be comparable to that of food at the best tourist hotels there, which was perfect for me. For additional spice, there were various condiments, relishes, and sauces on the buffet as well. We look forward to returning to this restaurants on future trips through that area.
