This restaurant was packed on a typical sunny Sunday. Locals (average age : 60 years old) fiiled the room. This is a very traditional cuisine but everything is delicious (foie gras, lobster...). Don't go there if you are in a rush (5 people serve 100 guests) but you will most probably have fond memories of this meal especially if the weather is nice and you can eat outside by the river. Five course meals ranged from €39, €59, €79 including a humongous cheese trolley. The chef comes to meet the guests during dinner whilst his wife serves looking at every detail.

We chose this restaurant as it had very good reviews on TA & it had a car-park right next door. Plus it wasn't far from our hotel. The food was very good the service was friendly & efficient (you can't go to far wrong with...MoreDear Customer, Thank you very much for this comment. Went with a French speaking colleague which helped but a good dining experience. The owner looks like an ex boxer and is incredibly friendly taking time to speak with everyone. Had the cuscus royals - bowl of cuscus with veg in sauce, spices and plate of the most tender chicken, lamb and sausage. The trick is to mix all in your bowl - very tasty and very filling . Not all that cheap 66 euro for 2 but included was a beer each a half bottle of wine and delicious
Mint tea afterwards. Very nice!

This restaurant is wonderful in every way--the ambiance, the food and its presentation, and the service. We had an absolutely wonderful Beef Burgundy ending with chocolate decadence. Don't pass this one up.

We had such a warm welcome and the food was truly delicious and all home made. You won't get typical fast food pizza or bolognase type dishes but you will enjoy traditional italian dishes with good quality ingredients. We felt that the owners really cared that we should eat things we would like. Good value too. We left smiling and planning a return visit.

Good quality food served by attentive staff, a little more formal than many hotel restaurants but this didn't detract in any way from our experience, in fact it added to the occasion. There was a buzz when we visited and although it was pretty busy...MoreDear customer, We thank you for sharing your felt on your meal in Belooga. Traditional restaurant open since 1986 in the former grocery in the heart of villefranche.
Recommended to me as a restaurant offering the typical local cuisine, I was taken here by colleagues and recommended food and wine. After a few more visits, I still enjoy going here. The food is well prepared, nicely seasoned amd truly local. The staff is very friendly and used to international guests. the menu is small to ensure freshness and it while it works well, I eventually had my favorite and found that I went here, if I had an appetite for fish and local white wine. Still highly recommended for visitors and business dinners.

Went today for a lunch break with a few colleagues.
The owner was really pleasant and we felt very welcome in this restaurant. Besides prices were good (14€ for 2 courses and 17€ for 3). However, the dishes were only average (even if made with fresh products). I had a brownie for desert which was hard already hard when served.
Overall we all agreed that price was good but that it is possible to find better restaurants for lunch time in Villefrance

The best pizza in town but also in the whole Lyon area. We are talking about authentic wooden baked thin crust pizza with rich and subtle flavors. The owners are super friendly and there's a great familial/italian atmosphere... You won't be disappointed!

My experience of buffet style Asian food has varied from good value to downright appalling. The obvious difficulties of keeeping the food hot outside the kitchen often resulting in tepid greasy parodies of Asian standards. Here they overcome the problem by cooking continuously in small batches. The result is fresh crispy starters and warm food. Combine this with a friendly welcome and delicious Thai and Laotian specialities (try the spicy chicken, in fact try everything:you can) and you have a superb meal. The fact that the final bill is so reasonable more than compensates for the lurid pink decor, anyway this is France and 'C'est la vie en rose.'
