This charming little restaurant is open plan, right next to the beach and you watch the chef prepare your food on the grill. Traditional food and half the price that we paid in other restaurants but it was twice as good as any other food we had, in fact it was by far best meal of our entire trip. Superb!

Very small menu (actually, the three main dishes are veal, lamb chops and fish), but the meat is phantastic and melts in your mouth.
Friendly service, including a nice chat with the chef. We will definitely go back, and then we'll make a reservation in advance to be able to eat the peka octopus :-)

Walking from our hotel on our first day, we stopped here at 2pm in blistering heat. Greeted by Aleksander, we were well looked after. orders are taken - drinks arrive and the food comes a little while later all cooked fresh to order.
The menu is pretty good and varied and the views are superb with plenty of shaded Seating provided. I'd have to say this place is one of the most noteable memories on our Croatia holiday and would recommend anyone to drop in here. Missing it already!

Returned to Babilon after a six-year gap on a very humid night at the beginning of July. The restaurant is situated half way up a relatively-steep hill, just past the impressive and ancient Orebic church. This being a Sunday, there was a pleasant organ accompaniment for the first part of the meal. A very popular restaurant on each of our previous visits, with a large range of different nationalities enjoying the provender.Owing to its position surrounded by other buildings, it can get very hot - maybe a fan or two might be considered a possibility for nights such as these? Extensive menu and all dishes professionally presented at table by the waiter, who was clearly feeling the heat as well. Very pleasant Turkey steak and some very pleasant pancakes for my wife's sweet course. Value, as in all places, terrific - thirty-five pounds for two including a litre of house wine, Certainly felt replete when we left just after half past ten, with the waiter's dream of an early night in a by now deserted restaurant shattered by the arrival of a party of eight! i felt for him.

Found seated atop a replica of a XVII century sailing vessel, right next to the Adriatic Sea itself you will find the most famous restaurant of the region, the Stari Kapetan. The Stari Kapetan serves the freshest fish in the region, lovingly prepared using traditional recepes. Only the finest organically grown vegetables are used in our dishes as well our own homemade olive oil. We offer a plethora of fine vine from Peljesac's wine cellars. Come and sail away with us to a journey your taste buds will never forget. A spectacular view of the isle of Korcula is included.
Coming off the beach we wanted drinks and we came across this restaurant. The waitress was lovely, attentive and friendly.
Drinks turned into a snack! We had a captains platter, chips bread and a tomato and onion salad ( which was not on the menu). Everything was fabulous and tasted even nicer with the warm sun and sea view.
Highly recommended!

We ate here 3 times during our 10 Day holiday and tried a variety of dishes on offer.
I would start by saying that the waiting staff at this restaurant are excellent. Both the gentleman and the lady that work in the inside part of this restaurant were friendly, helpful and chatty. Despite being very busy, they always took the time to talk and discuss the menu with us.
We had the mussels 3 times because they were so good - fresh and in a beautiful sauce.
We shared the sea bream on one evening and the kind waitress filleted it for us at the table.
We also tried the pasta and the meat sharing platter.
All of the food that we had was plentiful and delicious.
As said, the service was great even though they were busy.
Would definitely go back.

Simple food of excellent quality!
Fish is amazing! Tables outside are just 3 meters from the see. You can park your yacht right in front of the restaurant with mooring buoy. Not expensive. Service is quite slow, but common it is a beach restaurant. I highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner!

The friendly staff will welcome you to a peasant ambiance of the Vrgorac restaurant, situated by the seafront, featuring a big open Terrace and charming furnishings. You will be able to experience the charms of the Dalmatian dishes prepared in traditional way by using only the very best of the fresh, high-quality groceries. The flavors of the dishes are magnificent and the chefs are very creative and always ready to satisfy all your gastronomic desires. The true wine lovers will find a vast choice of local high-quality wines, since the Pelješac area is one of the most famous wine-growing areas in Croatia and on the Adriatic coast, producing world-famous wines.
Most amazing sunset! Pizzas were great. Pag cheese was also wonderful. Rump steak not so. Really nice place to eat. If you want mussels you need to come to NZ!!!

I really just can't believe this guy, the owner. We went to this nice, calm place for lunch and - when asked for the menu - he just kept staring at us, as if we were trying to get a pizza in a laundry service....MoreThanks for the review. Say hello to Andrea, world is better place with people like you. Kind regards.

Great setting on the sea front and an extensive menu. Peppercorn and mushroom sauces with the steaks were excellent. Pizzas also good plus the stuffed chicken. Waitress was brilliant - very friendly, witty and judged us just right! Very tasty meal.
