Family owned and operated-serving the community for 25 years
This place is top-notch. It is a cozy, authentic bakery with seating for several dozen patrons out front. It is our new favorite breakfast stop. Their strawberries & cream waffle with bacon is awesome. They also have good cheese grits and sausage. They really go out of their way to take care of small kids... with a $6 kids' meal, they bring some "wiki stick" toys to keep the kids occupied while they wait. They wrap the meal in a fun handkerchief, and include another small toy to take home. And if mommy approves, a small pack of gummi bears after. We usually stop in for breakfast and take home a couple of pastries for later.

Another Broken Egg is a restaurant chain. One of the newer restayrants has just opened im Mountan Brook, Alabama
We ate here before attending a football game at Legion Field. While the wait was long, the host was very accommodating. When seats came available at the bar, we decided to sit there. Worst mistake! The pregnant Bartender was more concern about the young ladies at the other end of the bar then us. She was rude and short with us. Given that we did not give her a reason to be rude, I will blame it on ignorance on her part. The food and coffee was okay. I was more so put off by the attitude and bad customer services of the bartender. I will not recommend sitting at the bar, if you're not young, blonde, and blue eyes.

This is it, the best! Outstanding pulled pork and ribs with great sides like green beans, vinegar based slaw, potato salad, baked beans. All very good. Small place, but like moves quickly and seating turnover is prompt. On street parking and free public parking around corner. Don't miss Saws when you want excellent barbeque.

They sell the best gourmet, all natural popsicles in Birmingham!
Yum. I love this place. It's like gluten free heaven as even their cookie pieces are gluten free. Yes, all of them! Try the buttermilk, chocolate, passion fruit or strawberry lemonade. Heck, all are yummy! You can even get them dipped or drizzled or dredged with chocolate, caramel, cookie crumbs sea salt...all kind of yummy things. The flavor combos become endless. They are fresh, natural and so good. Oh, and if you pick a flavor and end up regretting the choice, they'll gladly swap it for one you love. They're friendly folks.

Authentic, Southern Bar-B-Q. Meats are slow-smoked continuously around the clock to ensure only the freshest product. All trimmings are made from scratch daily (there's no freezer in the whole building!) Dine In, Drive Thru, To Go, and Catering available.
I ordered $157 worth of take-out and even bought a t-shirt for the road. Total bill 179.86.
The next day i shredded my paper receipt, but the credit card charge was for 189.86. I can only assume some one wrote in a $10 tip for over the counter service. Very disappointing.
I spoke with the back of house manager 3 days later who took my details and said it would be sorted but I have no refund for the $10 and no contact from the restaurant.
Too bad. JNN was my go-to when in town. I will not be back.

I give my brother all of the credit for letting us know about this small and easy to pass by restaurant. The exterior of the building is rather plain, but that impression quickly disappears when approaching the front door and peering into the windows. The kitchen is visible on the right side of the interior space with the tables for sitting on the left.
This is a Mediterranean Restaurant Deluxe! The smell of the cooking food permeates the space and the friendliness of the employees makes you feel right at home. I was looking for a dish that would be a bit unique and found it among this list of tasty sounding dishes: Beef Kabob, Chicken Kabob, Lamb Kabob, Shrimp Kabob, and among the rest - The Kafta Plate: "Mediterranean meat balls topped by Swiss cheese".
My partner had the Shrimp Kabob and I the Kafta Plate. "Served with hummus dip & pita bread with your choice of greek salad or tabbouleh." I took the tabbouleh and was not disappointed. This was the absolute best tabbouleh in my life! The meat balls were incredible and so unique I ordered the exact same thing the second time. The hummus dip was very good and having pita bread to maneuver food is always helpful. The portions can only be described as quite ample. Even though they tried to tempt me (twice) with their baklava I was so satisfied a dessert would have been one bridge too far.
I am looking forward to our next visit when I can try out more dishes and perhaps save room for dessert.
This restaurant is one of the few who would get 9 stars on a 10 star system, or 4.5 stars in the scoring scheme used by TripAdvisor.

El Barrio is delicious and consistent! After trying just about everything on the menu, I can say the attention detail and quality of food is papable in every dish. Plus, the bartenders are nice! Ask for an OG Margarita, it comes served as they did when they opened.
Two things to note about El B: 1) Lots of people love this place, read as the wait can be crazy, 2) If you can time it right, you can avoid the wait. Pro tip: Get there between 5:00 and 5:20 and you should be good, also go early on Tuesday and Wednesday for less traffic in general.

Stepping inside this restaurant, it's difficult to imagine that you're in Birmingham. No southern style food here; its menu is full of French items, and the waiter began the presentation with an elaborate array of specials, which all sounded delicious.
I opted to try an escargo plate for an appetizer and a more conventional "country dish" of croque madame for the entree. The restaurant scored well with both; in fact, the snails were tastier than most that I've had in Paris. This surprising restaurant lives up to its hype, and should be high on the list of any visitor who considers themselves a "foodie."
The service is very prompt and courteous, far faster than anything you'll experience in Paris.

This little place gets 5’s for everything but flavor. Was expecting more robust flavors from the salsa’s and the tacos. I had the brisket and the Adobada. The green chili burger was highlight of our meal. Burrito bowl was huge. Tequila Mockingbird and Paloma were great. Beer was a little warmer than I wanted and I wanted a cold glass with my bottled beer. Staff was excellent. Music was a little loud but the selection was great. I would return and sample the rest of the tacos, cheese dip and Caesar salad bowl. I would suggest an appetizer sampler of all the salsa’s and an entree sampler of all the tacos
