Vallejo (/vəˈleɪ(h)oʊ/ və-LAY-(h)oh; Spanish: [baˈʎexo]) is a waterfront city in Solano County, California, located in the North Bay sub-region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Vallejo is geographically the closest North Bay city to the inner East Bay, so it is sometimes mistakenly associated with that region. The population was 115,942 at the 2010 census. It is the tenth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the largest in Solano County. Vallejo sits on the northeastern shore of San Pablo Bay, 30 miles north of San Francisco, the northwestern shore of the Carquinez Strait and the southern end of the Napa River, 15 miles south of Napa. The city is named after General Mariano Guadalupe Vallejo, a native Californio, leading proponent of California's statehood, and one of the first members of the California State Senate; the neighboring city of Benicia is named for his wife, Francisca Benicia Carrillo de Vallejo.

Enjoy spectacular views of the new Carquinez Bridge and serene San Pablo Bay while dining on the lushly planted patio with heated and cooled cabanas and twinkling lights. Unique weekend brunch with specialty cocktails. Specialties include 100% USDA Certified Prime, Prime Rib and whole Dungeness crab. Unique dining rooms for an intimate dinner or a large group. "We may have a funny name but we're dead serious about our food!!"
We went to The Dead Fish for my wife’s birthday and it was very nice again. The food was good and the views were fantastic. We finished with a nightcap in the lounge while sitting at the fireplace. Great evening!

Napoli Pizzeria is Vallejo's local favorite. Whether you come from the Vallejo Ferry, live downtown or near the waterfront, Napoli Pizzeria will meet your Italian food cravings. Our menu serves up award-winning, hand-tossed pizzas cooked in well-seasoned brick deck ovens and homemade pasta and sauces. We make great hand-tossed pizza from dough that is made daily in brick ovens. We have many great combinations to choose from such as the Tony's Special, Original, Margherita, Mediterranean, Pesto Fresco, and BBQ chicken. We also have gluten-free pizza crust and gluten-free pasta that you can try with our gluten-free marinara, pizza, alfredo, or pesto sauces. Also try our home made beef or Ricotta cheese ravioli and lasagna. We also make a great Caesar salad and our dressing is made-from-scratch in-house. We deliver to businesses, schools, and governments for orders over $100 and we have a party size menu that fill up that birthday party or work luncheon! We invite you to give us a try!

This is the perfect brunch option before or after stocking up on veggies and fruit (and kettle korn) at the downtown farmers' market on Saturday's. Just a short walk. Parking lot on left side of the building. Pies and just made thick bread! Excellent service!

We had been recommended to have breakfast here and glad we heeded the advice.
Really friendly attentive service. We had the Popeye omelette and the hot and spicy omelette with country potatoes, salsa and toast- delicious. It was so filling we didn’t eat again until dinner time. Washed down with coffee.

This is a good place to go in Vallejo and get a bloody mary and a good breakfast. With the recent remodel you can also enjoy the tvs. They have great deserts if your so inclined. AAA discount.

I revisited Michael Warring Restaurant which is situated right off Interstate 80 in the seculed beautiful hills. Our second visit was just as excellent as the first - with a 7-course pre-fix dinner that is filled with interesting and delicious courses that will impress your taste buds. Best to opt for the wine pairing dinner rather than ordering from the wine list. The paired wines go perfectly with dinner. Our dinner the other night included an opening dish of asparagus with foie gras, cardamon, and cream faische sabayon. It was so good! I wanted to lick the plate. The noodle dish included spring onions, sheep milk cheese, bottarga and preserved truffles. Again, we ate slowly savoring every bite. I never wanted the dish to end. I cannot forget the veal rib dish with black trumpet mushrooms and homemade meringue. This had some many tastes and nuances that you had to each each forkful carefully to fully enjoy the dish. Dessert is outstanding and memorable and what a surprise when the dish has icy cold clouds of steam emitting from it. Again, memorable. Dinner is for the romantics who want to impress their date or their significant other. Finally, the cost compared to the French Laundry is a steal. I highly recommend visiting Michael Warring. It will be an unforgettable evening. Plan to spend some time enjoying watching chef Michael Warring creating delicious tasty dishes right in front of you. The show is worth the price of admission.

This Black Bear Diner has taken the idea of a family restaurant and really kicked it up a notch. The menu is filled with tasty selections that will appease even the finickiest of eaters, not to mention the best desserts around. We pride ourselves in delivering quality food, and our staff’s goal is to make sure that you’re happy every step of the way. We can’t wait to show you!
Best: the monstrous chicken fried steak, eggs, biscuits and fruit-two or three meals in one. I like the smiles even at 06:00 am, the folks who are unfailingly nice, even to the wandering people outside who don't eat there. The location is conducive for travelers, and I even saw a couple of birthday parties.. The food is fresh, as with all other of this chain I've visited. Vallejo is fortunate to have this place.

We figured this place must be good due to the line waiting to get inside. This restaurant's appearance and ambiance is very typical of most Asian eateries. We had one of 3 selections of their "Family" dinners and chose the Szechuan special. It came with Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, wontons, wonton soup, and steamed rice. We also ordered their asparagus salad which was totally off the hook. Way too much food for us but the good news is we have some outrageously awesome leftovers for later. The service was great and the entire staff were all very friendly. I would say this place was hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants I ever visited. All of the food with its associated sauces and flavors was over the top superb. I will most definitely be eating here again.

I expect nothing special at a hotdog stand but this Vallejo hotdog place is a Vallejo tradition. Nothing fancy but very basic. Not cheap for hot dogs but nonetheless a good deal. Everyone goes here.
