After a day boarding stopping at the Folie and having a few beverages and a little dance is priceless. The sunset is beautiful here and is a easy board/ski down to Val thorens if you stay at the resort. Lovely party atmosphere and reasonably riced...MoreHi rocketbd, Thanks a lot for your positive feedback. We are happy that you have enjoyed your experience @ La Folie Douce Val Thorens. I recently visited with a group of friends, and the restaurant was amazing. Being in the Mountains we were all keen to try the Fondue, and also the smoked raclette. From start to finish we were looked after incredibly. The atmosphere was buzzing, the service was excellent and so was the wine. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Val Thorens.

Take the Cascades chairlift then ski the Dalles piste and you will arrive at the sun drenched Terrace of the Chalet de la Marine. You will be welcomed by Arnaud and Cedric Gorini.
When you got blue skies, fresh powder and no queues on the ski-lifts, make sure your lunch venue is up for it - and the "Chalet de Marine" is surely doing the trick! Great food, try the "eggs" or the "Pot of feu" (plus fois for those who have done the extra run - or will do it "honest" in the afternoon!
The starter of the day - home made guacamole and blinis, salmon eggs and caviar - and the "Plat du jour" - lamb - like a run in fresh powder! A bit pricy, but defo worth it! Go!
PS: did I mention the super-friendly service?

We were looking for somewhere that served good steak whilst skiing in Val Thorens. I googled the Steak Club and it looked lovely. We were not disappointed. We were a group of 11. We met at the bar which served amazing cocktails and the venue itself was very special. There was something really warm and inviting about it. Staff were extremely friendly and considering we were a large group we were served very quickly. My fillet steak was really large and done to perfection. At 38 Euros it was worth every penny! It was that large I gave half to my hubby. I can’t comment on starters or desserts as we didn’t have these but what I can comment on is a beautiful venue, friendly staff and outstanding cuisine. Well worth a visit next time you are in VT

Lovely setting and ambience. Packed on both days we went. Food was great with layers and layers of flavour. Price was very reasonable for that quality. Easy to find and service was good. My veal was just so juicy and tender. The potato gratin was also excellent. House wine was very drinkable. Really want to try their fondue next time. I will certainly return next time when back. Everyone at our table loves the place. Good value for money.

We came here for dinner last Wednesday as it was our Chalet Host's night off. Having looked on Tripadvisor prior to going on holiday we decided to book Pub La Ferme and I am glad we did. We had booked for 7pm and when we arrived the restaurant was empty so we were a little dubious. However we need not have worried. Within the hour every table was full! The food is great. We chose the 28 Euro menu which gives you three courses. There is a really good choice and the portion sizes are really big! There is a good wine list and also some nice cocktail choices. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back!

Located between Les Menuires and Val Thorens, in the largest ski area in the world, the 3 Valleys, our alpine restaurant Chalet Chez Pepe Nicolas is open throughout the winter season afternoon and evening (Wednesday to Saturday). True alpine chalet, our restaurant has been completely renovated and directed in 2014. It will offer an authentic atmosphere, in a place out of time.
We had lunch twice in one week at Chez Pepe Nicolas and it was really good every time. Every detail fits at Pepe Nicolas : it combines the rural mountain atmosphere with hipness. It's almost like a filmset. Blankets against the cold and straw hats against the sun are provided.
You can have an aperitif or coffee on the Terrace with a stunning view of the Lac du Lou valley. And you can continue the pleasure by having a meal. Service is friendly and quick. It's recommended to make a reservation as it can get busy. It is accessible by car (+ 150m walk), by ski or on foot (snow rackets). In the summertime it is a bio farm, you can buy locally produced cheese in the shop all year round.

Really good food with a nice table setup. Also ideal for groups! The starters and main are good. Don't misse the desserts! Always good to eat there, you can't be unsatisfied

Ate here with our group of 12 last week on our chalet hosts night off. The food was absolutely excellent French cuisine with big portions. My wife and i had the set meal - 3 courses for 34 Euros and all was great - delicious Soup, excellent tartiflette and superb Apple or Blueberry Tart for dessert. It was very busy as expected on a Wednesday night but the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Nice wine too. Couldn't fault it.
