North America's biggest and most popular ski resort, Vail is an alpine village in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Long a favorite of serious skiers and jet setting celebrities, Vail now also draws a younger, hipper snowboarding crowd. Skiing is king at Vail Mountain and the Blue Sky Basin, but the area's vast splendor is perfect for hiking, biking, snowmobiling or scenery-gazing at any time of the year.

If you love a diner atmosphere and diner-style grub, this is the best place in Vail.
We've eaten breakfast here a number of times and we love sitting at the counter. The little kitchen runs like a sort of diner ballet and it's thoroughly entertaining to watch.
There's always a wait, but it's worth it. It's quicker if you're willing to take a counter spot.
They have an awesome staff that is always so, so nice, even when the place is packed. The owner/executive chef always seems to be present.
We've eaten a variety of menu items here and you just can't go wrong. We're still talking about my husband's Dutch Baby that he ordered the first time we were here. They are absolutely HUGE!!!
If you're in Vail, you have to eat at least one breakfast here. On our recent three-night stay we ate there twice!

Enjoyed dinner at Annapurna! Food and service were both excellent. The restaurant is located in the Evergreen Lodge at Vail, so it's easy to find, and there is plenty of free parking. Prices were reasonable, and portion sizes were large! Would definitely return when I am in Vail!

Established in 2002, The Westside Cafe quickly became a local's favorite. 11 Years later, The Westside Cafe has won numerous awards and accolades for their consistently great food & service. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in a relaxed, olde Colorado themed atmosphere. Great for one or for the entire family, kids are welcome. Consciously priced, amazing value, The Westside Cafe!
While in Vail for a wedding my husband and I came across this restaurant for breakfast. I can't even remember how many types of Eggs Benedict they offered but it was a lot and the several I tried were DELISH!!! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Huge mugs of coffee/tea. Large servings! Huge cinnamon rolls!!! Dog friendly tie ups (like a horse in a western) with water dishes on their outside front porch. Only con is that they share restrooms with the Mexican restaurant next door. Not a big enough reason to miss out on this Cafe!

From the creators of the legendary Sweet Basil in Vail Colorado, comes a fresh, innovative new restaurant. Aptly named Mountain Standard, this rustic and relaxed tavern aims to set a new standard in the Vail valley by using an ancient form of cooking. The majority of Mountain Standard’s menu is prepared via the most primal cooking method: over an open and live wood fire. The only restaurant in the valley to devote themselves to this age-old way of cooking, the food at this exciting new restaurant has rustic, bold and honest flavors, focusing on the purest ingredients in the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.Service, like the cuisine, has that perfect balance of providing a first class dining experience with a more casual vibe. There is no smoke and mirrors here – no fuss – just simple, honest, from the heart service and cooking. The beauty of the creek side location is mirrored by the high energy vibe of this dynamic restaurant. It is this energy, outstanding service, and hand crafted food that enables Mountain Standard to offer a truly unique dining experience, approachable and enjoyable to everyone.
This place is definitely good. Most places that you find around are burger joints and this one definitely has a good selection. Don't forget to order a margarita!!! I'm from Texas and we have some really good margaritas, but this one is definitely up there.

Voted #1 in Colorado by Zagat Survey, Sweet Basil has been a must for travelers and locals alike since 1977. The cuisine is creative contemporary American utilizing many cultural influences from around the world. Located in the heart of Vail Village, the restaurant blends fine dining with a captivating trendy energy.
Sweet Basil never disappoints. If you're looking to spoil someone for a special occasion then this is the place. The food is always incredibly tasty and memorable! The service is consistently great and friendly. We've only had once "incident du arrogance" over a half a dozen times and I haven't seen that snobby waiter since.

With a backdrop of floor-to-ceiling windows displaying uninterrupted mountain views and an expansive patio illuminated by firepits year round, The Remedy is the ideal destination in Vail to unwind, socialize and imbibe. The provocative bar program will serve up playful concoctions, inventive elixirs and a twist on classic cocktails reflective of the bar's namesake. Enjoy sporting events on our 165" television or renowned local musicians at the lively après scene.
Stopped by for early evening drinks and apps. They are will known for their handcrafted cocktails, with an Old Fashioned at the top of popularity. Muddled with care results in a delicious drink. Enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer and was pleasantly surprised to receive the cheese dip complementary snack. Bartenders and wait staff are friendly and attentive. Nice outdoor seating. And if you need a sports fix, there are multiple TVs inside.

This is a lovely, low key restaurant located on Gore Creek in Vail. We chose to eat lightly, one glass of white wine each, I had the jumbo lump crab cake and my friend had the quinoa cake. Both items were excellent, instead of dessert we lingered over a cup of tea. I was taken aback by the bill, the total was $90.00 without tip.
While our meal was delicious and beautifully prepared, I thought it was pricey.

If fondue is your bag, you can't go wrong here. We had both the cheese, and meat. The decor makes you think that you are in Germany or Switzerland. It reminded us of a recent trip to Zermatt. It is more memorable than a standard restaurant with the usual meat and potatoes.

Moe's Original BBQ is a Southern soul food revival with food prepared fresh daily with recipes passed down for generations.
family pack was great option after arriving to Lionshead. The pulled pork was flavorful and not too fatty (we supplied the buns to make pulled pork sandwiches). The BBQ sauce gave a good zing. The baked beans were awesome with the marinated slaw tasting fresh and crisp. Four of us were full for $30. Not easy to do in Vail.
