Based upon the Trip Advisor reviews, my wife insisted we try this place. We are always looking for places to eat that are unique to the area. This place definitely qualifies. There's seating for about twelve people, if two are willing to stand. The staff is very friendly.
The menu is limited, so if you don't want a burger this is not your place. The burgers are slider sized. Other reviewers have made reference to White Castle burgers, but I don't know what that means. We enjoyed our burgers (definitely get the double with everything) and watching the staff prepare them. In the few minutes we were sitting at the counter enjoying our meal, I bet we watched 100 burgers being prepared for seated customers, pick-up and drive thru. The staff have raised preparing and packing burgers to an art form.
When your done with your meal, they give a tootsie roll instead of a mint. That's my kind of place.
If you're looking for gourmet dining in a relaxed atmosphere, this is not your place. However, it you want good burger and some charming surroundings, you definitely need to give this place a try.

Our winter athletic events include Skiing, Hiking, Biking, and Tennis.
´Tis a grand day.
Today it will be skiing at Ohio’s largest ski resort – Ski Mad River Mountain. Overnight temperatures have been in the twenties, and today the sunny skies being near 55 degree temperatures. We anticipate our annual Ski Canaan Valley week.
This is a Rural Ohio drive. The farm fields are brown, and the farm ponds are still iced over. A few blocks west of Urbana Town Square is a converted Pennsylvania Train Depot -- Depot Coffee House.
We stop at Depot Coffee House prior to skiing Mad River Mountain. We have discovered Depot Mocha several years ago, and we recommend this brew. We take time for a ham, cheese, and egg breakfast croissant.
And we take out one dozen Chocolate Chip cookies.
We like that Depot Coffee House has preserved an older train depot.

The coffee is always good at Tim Hortons! The service at this particular restaurant is quick and efficient. The people working the drive through and friendly and always give a donut hole to my pup. Stop in for a quick bagel and coffee!

Tripadvisor’s Reviewers rate The Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant as the Number One Urbana restaurant, and we add this experience to our Ski Mad River Mountain day of skiing. We have seen restaurants come and go in Urbana over the past decades, and Urbana and Ski Mad River Mountain folks like this Ohio family restaurant.
Ambience: Bob Evans w/o the corporation
Service: Prompt
Dining: Home Cooking with Pride
The Farmer’s Daughter Restaurant is clearly an Urbana success story, and we recommend prior to or following Ski Mad River Mountain.
Be certain to visit the onsite bakery and gift shop.

Was watching the road closely due to road construction on side streets and noticed Tea Baggers just north of the downtown roundabout on 68. Stopped in because it is a long drive from my place to find loose leaf tea. Got some seasonal fireside tea, pumpkin spice tea, and also some specialty coffees. There are clean restrooms (although urinal was out of order) and a dining area for those who want to enjoy food with their drink. I had to get on down the road, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the orders I saw as I made my my to and from the restroom looked good. You may have to park a ways away but it is worth the extra effort.

It is a great Italian bistro
Just off of the chaotic traffic circle downtown is this gem of a cafe. Enjoyed the red, white & bleu pizza at the table in the window. Decor was midwest homey and beautiful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and always came with smiles. I would stop by if in Urbana.

I only ordered appetizers which included lettuce wraps and chicken cheese quesadillas was very good! This was served with side of sour cream and a side of chopped tomatoes that was seasoned to perfection.
The wraps were ok...didn't have a choice of sauces and could not wrap them.
Service was great even with being told 3 kitchen employees called off work.
I urge you to go and make your own decision. I will go back.

Nice clean inviting coffee shop not far from the bike path in Urbana. The breakfast and lunch menu is of great quality. I had the porker wrap and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. The coffee selection is excellent as I have stopped for a cup of joe more than once while in Urbana. A return visit is assured.

You can order from the menu or buy something from their buffet.. It is fine, just I believe Los Cabos in Bellefontaine seems to have the best Mexican food. The people are nice and it looks clean.

The service was good and friendly while have a good view of the air field. The lasagna was tasty at a good price. Salad was a little lame but not awful. Its a good place to stop in an area with not too much around it.
