The village cluster of Ubud is the ideal place to try a famed Balinese massage and soak up the ambiance of one of Asia’s top spa destinations. Acupressure, reflexology, stretching and aromatherapy star in the island's distinctively firm massage treatments. Ubud is also the vivacious center of Bali’s arts scene, home to a small treasure trove of museums and galleries. Monkey around at nearby nature reserve Monkey Forest Park, home to hundreds of mischievous long-tailed macaques. Don’t miss the valley of tomb cloisters at Gunung Kawi.

Expectations were quite high after Reading the reviews, however we were disappointed.
As always I try to give objective input.
I must admit that we went there on a rainy evening so that may have influences the experience negatively, however here are the facts.
From the reception you have to walk 5-10 minutes down a long and very dark path. We were offered an umbrella (but hat one leaked so we were soaking wet when we arrived at the restaurant). The path itself was more like a river so our leather shoes were ruined when we arrived at the restaurant. We also crossed a rat on the way down. So.... this was not what I would call a good start.
We were seated in a room that lacked any nice decoration. I suppose when you can sit on the Terrace it is much nicer of cours but unfortunately could not experience this. The staff had to walk through the rain with our dishes.
It took them a very long time to prepare and bring the cocktails.
They were very attentive and brought us a towel.
The food was average, not better than what you would eat in any ordinary Thai restaurant. Portions were rather small.
Prices: 150 000 for a Cosmopolitan, 200 000 for a glass of wine. A bottle of water 90 000 Pad Thai 145 000 just to give some examples.
I have been in some neighbouring restaurants like 'swept away' that were much better.
All in all I would not go back and don't recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner here after being picked up on a scooter near Starbucks. The resort is in a green zone so no cars allowed. The ride was fun.
The restaurant in situated upstairs after walking past part of the kitchen and storage fridges.
Lovely tables, furnishings and such. Nice menu but pricey. Our first wines choices were not available, albeit the cheaper options so we had to settle for a more expensive bottle. Disappointing given the expense of wine in Bali.
The menu had some lovely options to choose from. The starters were lovely and tasty. My partner had lamb rack and I had veal tagliata with some sides. The lamb was well presented but the tagliata was more of a thick carpaccio. Tasty but served lukewarm on cold plates. We mentioned this to the waitron and that the food would have been better served warmer. We got a non-committal apology and shrug of the shoulders. The staff were very attentive in their service.
Would have been 5 stars if not for the cold main course.
Expensive but romantic venue for a special meal.

A tropical breeze and the soothing sound of water set the mood at our signature bamboo restaurant. Kubu also offers an intimate space with having 9 private cocoons overlooking the Ayung river for you to enjoy fine Mediterranean-European cuisine in the option of A-la-carte or degustation menus. Further, an extensive list of European wines is accompanied for selection as well.
We dined at Kubu twice whilst staying at Mandapa, in a cocoon for 4, and both times were wonderful. Kubu has a gorgeous setting, blended with delicious food and super service. The cocoon's were intimate and private. We had the degustation menu which was superb. I don't eat seafood and so they switched some dishes for me with no problems. The Parmasan Risotto was really delicious in particular, as was the beef. A great place for a special dinner.

Situated within a historical and artistic place of Antonio Blanco's museum, this restaurant is absolutely state of the art. The entrance is majestic, feels like welcoming to immerse ourself in romantic contemporary architecture that reflects on every structural detail. A mixologist comes by with her trolley full of exotic spirits and homemade ingredients to linger our palate before the Amuse Bouche tickles our appetite. The meals are epic, oh my lord, we couldn't forget how smoky the octopus, delightful tiger prawn, 21 days aged slow roasted Peking duck, they are superb!! The chef is so brilliant to fuse Indonesian ingredients and tailor them to dance, sparkle, oh my wife and me couldn't stop associating those experience to our imagination. Accompanied with a glass of riesling what a beautiful night to remember! Highly recommended place to celebrate wedd anniversary or for connoisseur to savor and appreciate gastronomy!!

Presented with the Greenery, Delicious Menu, Food & Beverages and Excellence Services, Labak Sari Restaurant offers a lot of selected unique & cheaper foods and beverages prices with traditional balinese touch, green surrounding area, lively, happy, taste and amazing relaxing luxury atmosphere feels
Such great food (organic), fresh juices (we had the homemade “ginger fizz” yum), and dessert (black rice pudding!). Very cheap prices - two people, three courses each, with a soft drink and a beer each cost us 220,000. Well worth a visit! We would recommend to go early evening while it’s still light to see the rice field, and wear mosquito repellent!

Moksa plant-based and on-site permaculture garden is the newest casual dinning restaurant in Ubud.
This was the first vegan restaurant I've ever eaten at, even though I'm primarily vegetarian.
The food was really amazing. And here, vegan does not mean mock meats either in flavour or looks.
The portions are quite large and you'll be well advised to order more later, should the need arise.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
And the setting of this place is unique in location as it is in design. Very beautiful. Typically Balinese.
