Its population was estimated to be around 3,253 in 2010, with half the population consists of ethnic Dusuns, mostly of the Lotud ethnic subgroup as well of Bajau descent. Thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday night meal at Naan. The outdoor Seating area looked very appealing with the myriad of warm colours of the upholstery. Location-wise, Naan is directly in front of a wide open lawn offering great views of the sunset.
We had some nicely themed cocktails to begin our meal.
We picked a menu to share for two. I can’t quite remember the names of choices we made but we had chicken tandoori tikka, three kinds of curry, papadom and chutneys, naan and a delicious kulfi sort of dessert to replace a sweet potato-based one (?) which I was already turning down because we had eaten very very well.
I was worried that my kids will have a hard time finding something to eat because their taste buds are not accustomed to the Indian flavours and spices. I arranged ahead with the hotel’s Restaurant Reservations Desk to prepare mildly spaced chicken tandoori tikka and plain basmati rice. My kids were contented with their dinner although this was not typical fare for them.
I’d be glad to have a chance to have another meal here again.
Make sure you make a reservation as the restaurant only has two-seatings (6pm and 8.30 pm) per night.

Modern, but with subtle traditional Indian features, Naan – Flavours of India is sure to impress with the best of authentic and delicious Indian fare, including tandoor favourites, vindaloo, masala and tikka dishes.
After a long day in Sepalok we sat at a table in Naan - Flavours of India. We enjoyed both chicken and prawn dishes with rice and naan. Coupled with lassies you’d think that that was a standard Indian meal. However the title of the restaurant embellishes the experience. The lassies have to be the best we’ve ever had. The complimentary starters a treat and the after dinner surprise exceeded expectations.
This restaurant is a must if you visit Rasa aria.

Kozan’s interiors echo the minimalist aesthetics of a classical Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant, with an unconventional architectural design, giving it a modern edge.
Lovely Japanese food but a rather limited menu. You can watch your food being cooked in front of you but the costs more than doubles! Well worth visiting and very friendly and attentive staff.

Makan Street captures the nostalgia of Malaysia’s street food stalls and open-fronted shop-house restaurants. Each food stall offers tempting flavours and a special glimpse into the cuisines of Asia. By day, this beachfront restaurant is transformed into a poolside bar offering Asian and Western snacks, finger foods and refreshing drinks.
The buffet is for the empty stomach. We recommended you go the 'skinny' on lunch in preparation for a feast. This buffet has choice. You can start with seafood (i.e. mussels, prawns) and refreshing salads. Then you can progress through Makan Street with offerings of grilled meats, assorted roti, satays, curries, peking duck, noodles, soft shell crab, calamari etc.
The waiters are reliable for advice and recommendations and efficient in their responses. I tried the Tom Yum and suggest you have either cucumber or yoghurt handy given the heat (pedas).
If the quantity isn't enough the sweets are copious and also diverse. Coffees and teas are also on offer if you have room. If you dine here often you will struggle to eat two meals alike. A worthwhile dining experience requiring time.

Enjoy all-day dining, outdoors or indoors, at Coffee Terrace. International and local dishes are served with plenty of health-conscious menu selections and luscious tropical fruits
Probably the best buffet meal I've experienced for quality and choice.
My favorite evening included a seafood buffet serving oysters, crab, prawns, lobster tails and much more.
Every other night there was something different to experience including freshly BBQ fish and chicken.
Great Deserts and ice cream selection.

One of the first places that started serving Tuaran mee! You can choose the meat that comes with it. It has the smell of well fried Tuaran mee! The shop is still the old traditional Tuaran coffee shop.A corner shop, located at the row opposite KFC.

When they told me that this place makes the best noodle of KK , I found it hard to believe as it didn't look like a famous place. When the noodle came and I started eating o understood the whole thing . The hand pulled noodle had slowly cooked in a secret recipe and topped with stir fried beef .
I am just hoping that there was no msg inside as it tasted super good !
Must try !!

Places to eat are pretty limited as a tourist in this area. This place is convenient if staying at Rasa Ria and within walking distance. It's a casual cafeteria style place opposite the Crocodile Farm that is largely used by the locals. We had Chinese roast duck and some vegetables, that were delicious and some prawns cooked 'Hong Kong' style that were not my taste. As with many other places outside the hotel complex the welcome and service are non-existent but not hostile. It's just how thing are.

I found a long hair in my pau, the proprietor didn't see the problem. He begrudgingly gave me a second, where I again scored another. I have since spoken to friends about this place, three of them had food poisoning after eating here. Another said her chicken was pink and raw when served to her. Eat at your own risk.
