Truro /ˈtrɜːroʊ/ is a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States, comprising two villages: Truro and North Truro. Located slightly more than 100 miles (160 km) by road from Boston, it is a summer vacation community just south of the northern tip of Cape Cod, in an area known as the "Outer Cape". English colonists named it after Truro in Cornwall, United Kingdom.

After a teeny bit of a rough start getting a table which would not require my husband to sit in the aisle as the 5th person at a 4-person table, Blackfish came through and wowed us with a wide variety of tasty dishes from shellfish to lamb. We had three appetizers including pork jowl, mussels with Italian sausage in a delicious white sauce, and a truly lovely and beautifully presented salad of beets, blackberries, and creme fraiche. (I should have taken a photo!) We then proceeded to have 5 different entrees including a lamb ragout prepared with aromatic Morrocan spices, tuna, fresh homemade pasta with spring vegetables, Catalan fish stew, and haddock. All different and delicious! For dessert, we had a panacotta garnished with cranberries and mint and an apple cobbler topped with sage ice cream. Overall, the food was excellent, the ambiance was quiet and relaxing, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
I did have to dock Blackfish one star, however, when they could have easily reseated us given the hour (late, close to 9:30 PM) and the fact that there were many free tables, and with 5 people we were easily going to spend $200 plus with them. When we pressed, they eventually did reseat us, but there was no reason to hesitate—at this price point, there is no reason for the customer to have to ask twice.

Opens early with the best coffee/espresso and fresh baked pastries and egg sandwiches. Try the locals favorite; Sweet Breaker! Best lunch in town, Angus burgers, huge salads, paninis, subs wraps& slices. Rated #1 Pizza on Cape Cod; cooked by the fire on the open hearth; flame kissed. Alter ego is Sweet Escape Homemade ice cream; made on site. Come see why the locals call us the "Hearth & Soul of Truro" OPEN YEAR ROUND
We stopped here just for ice cream while returning from Provincetown. They had a great selection of hard ice cream and it was very good. Both my wife and I were very happy with our selections. They were also generous with their portions.

CERALDI offers a new dining experience on the Wellfleet waterfront. Critically acclaimed Chef Michael Ceraldi creates a 7-course nightly menu, crafted from the season's finest and freshest locally sourced and foraged ingredients. The beautiful Wellfleet waterfront atmosphere allows for a convivial and relaxed atmosphere, where all diners enjoy sitting at the chef's table.
I had waited all summer for this culinary adventure with whom Chef/owner in my parts would be called a "mench". He spoke with an introduction defining his farm to table practice and described the experience we would partake in with the thoughtful seven course locally sourced wine pairing meal. In retrospect I would summarize the experience as this...beautiful atmosphere with soft romantic relaxing lighting, perfect background music from the wordless tunes to the volume. Clean food and bend over backwards to accomodate all dietary needs. Three hours is a long time to dine....two and half would be perfect. The 8:30 reservation is again at least 30 minutes to late and personally I prefer vodka over wine so not having a full bar is a disappointment. Overall you have to give this place a try, I promise they will not disappoint. But...this is the last weekend of the season so put it on your culinary bucket list for 2018!

The Top Mast Cafe is a bright and cheerful, family-friendly summer cafe in the Beach Point neighborhood of North Truro, MA - just 9 minutes from Provincetown. We serve standard American fare, along with creative daily food and drink specials. There is outdoor dining on our patio, plenty of free parking, and take-out service. We are closed now for the winter and re-open in May 2018.
We pulled onto Route 6A after leaving Provincetown, MA. We were actually interested in the cottages located in North Truro. So, we pulled in and then decided not to go in since we were heading actually to Truro Vineyards.
So, we found ourselves too early for the vineyards and still hungry for breakfast. So, we drove back and went inside Top Mast Cafe. Come to find out, I think this is the only place to dine in the area. I ordered a blueberry pomegranate-pear bellini and the lobster benedict while my husband ordered lobster omelet. The food and the service was very good and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Also, if you're looking to stay in this area you might want to check out their resort alongside the restaurant or their motel located across the street along the Atlantic Ocean.

Phenomenal chocolate. Just take a bite why don't you? Ethically sourced too! Highly recommend this place if you are on outermost Cape Cod. Delicious espresso drinks too.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at PB. We've been many times for breakfast, on day trips from Boston, but decided to spend a few days over Thanksgiving in Wellfleet and PB was the obvious dinner choice! Closed for the winter. See you May 2017

When we first opened Moby Dick’s in ‘83, we had no idea we’d become an establishment on Cape Cod. We simply wanted to start a BYOB restaurant that had fresh seafood, a relaxed environment, and a friendly staff that would make people feel at home. Well, three decades later, we’re still doing exactly that, opening every season in May to the delight of locals and visitors alike. Some people stop in for our lobster rolls while others come for an old-fashioned bucket of steamers. But everyone knows they can come to us for fresh family fun and a dining experience in Wellfleet they'll never forget.
There were eight of us on a Saturday night, so we had to wait about a half hour for a table, which turned out to be upstairs at a large picnic table. Ordered at the counter before being seated, and food was brought to us....MoreAntonia, thanks for coming by for a visit! It's wonderful that you all enjoyed yourselves this much. Hope to see you all next season for a great meal. Love and lobster rolls, Todd B, Owner

Since 1988, Montano's Restaurant has been treating residents and visitors of North Truro alike to authentic Italian cuisine that's made from scratch the old fashioned way. With pasta that's crafted in-house and cooked to order, homemade sauces, and pizza dough that's made fresh daily, it's easy to see why we've become a local favorite. You'll be welcomed in with warm and inviting service as you relax and look over our menu. Our dishes feature local seafood that's freshly caught as well as dry aged USDA Prime Meats for steak that's intensified in flavor and cooked to perfection. Whether you're tasting our New Haven style pizza or our eggplant parmesan, you'll feel like you're dining in Italy without leaving Cape Cod.
Many restaurants on the Cape close for the winter. Montano's does not. It is a great dining alternative to waiting in line in Provincetown. Most pasta is made in house. Our group enjoyed appetizers like fried calamari, Caesar salad, and oysters on the half shell (not that plump considering the season). Fresh bread with olive oil and freshly grated Parmesan is always replenished. The special when we visited was swordfish but they had just run out. Our group did enjoy wild boar paparadelle, linguine with clam sauce, and fresh salmon. The service was very good.

This small deli-like establishment is conveniently located when driving from your hotel on the bayside to the national seashore. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, beverages, and chips and delicious iced coffee. We ordered a greek salad that was essentially a lot of lettuce, with a couple of pieces of feta, onion, and cucumber that was extremely overpriced. Having said that, there aren't a lot of obvious in-n-out choices, so it's worth a stop.

Hidden away behind the Chocolate Sparrow on Main Street, A Nice Cream Shop is just the place for a cone or shake or a cold drink on a warm summer evening. Very good choices of ice cream and sorbets, served in cups, cones of waffle cones (ala Emack & Bolio's menu) to please the taste of everyone. Efficient and welcoming staff operating out of two windows in the back of the house. Limited seating so cross the street to a bench to watch the tourist traffic in Wellfleet.
