For traditional Okinawan cuisine, this is the real deal. Small restaurant but big on the quality of the food. Everything here is tasty. Go for the noodles with pork ribs, sea squid with noodles, sea grapes and don't forget the pork belly. The lady serving us spoke English so you wont have difficulty ordering the food.
Located on a side street just off the famous Kokusai Dori Shopping belt. Skip the restaurants on this stretch just make a beeline for Yunangi. You wont regret it!

Went down after no one answered the phone thinking it was busy. It is located in a commercial port area. But alas it looked like it has closed down in quite a while. Dont waste your time.

This is not fine dining, but a refreshing place for having a meal. Filled with locals and lively. I suppose for the locale $25.00 for a steak is a great price. The steak was well cooked and tender, but they need to put some type of seasoning on it. Just salt and pepper before you cook it would raise the level of this steak so much. It was pretty bland. The salad was fresh and the garlic bread what you would want. A large beer on tap for 500¥ was a good deal. The only real heartburn I have with Jacks is the "soup". Honestly it reminded me of the glue you would make in grade school. No idea what it was supposed to be or taste like. They only take cash so bring it with you. Not bad, but I question the current standing on TA for Naha.

I stumbled in here on a whim. The outside food display offered some nice choices. Inside, a mix of tables and counter-style Seating is available. I was offered an English menu. I enjoyed sautéed eggplant (absolutely delicious), beef and tofu in a delicious brown sauce. A rice bowl and miso soup cane with the main dish. Prices are very reasonable (I paid 650¥). Service was quick and the three ladies cooking obviously put their heart into their food. Real comfort food in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Thought there wouldn't be good specialty restaurants on major shopping streets, but I was wrong.
The soba (Okinawa Soba, which is different from other Soba of Japan) is so tender and chewy, and the broth is so tasteful.
The restaurant isn't facing the main street so it's a little bit hard to find. Just remember it's in the alley, so make a turn and it's about 30 feet down.

Bought the small brown sugar cake for 1190. The way these cakes are make is pretty fascinating and you can watch how it's made right at their front door. Every laker is baked separately. Wonderful find for one of the nearly cakes I've tasted.

Absolutely loved this place. Was an excellent opportunity to try some fresh, light, healthy local cuisine. Even thought it's buffet it was nice to walk out feeling light and fresh. The drink and dessert bars were also a delight.
