For over 20 years we have enjoyed and loved this charmer in Tivoli but last night may have finally turned us off forever. As 20+ year vets, we are obviously NOT "hip spring chickens" but to be relegated to the very back room where all the elderly and deplorables (250 pounders or OVER) are corralled is an insult - and OBVIOUS! Drinks fare, salsa still great (only reminder of the glory that once was), quesadilla small and flavorless but worst of all; our main courses were sad impressions of previously delicious sumptuous feasts. Small burritos small enchiladas teeny side salad and bland rice and sad beans. Diner food at best. wait staff pleasant enough but that kitchen needs a re-start button pushed ASAP. Not good: major disappointment. and everyone must and should be treated the same; and that ugly back room ONLY when the rest of the place is chock full not filled w/ the over 50 over 250 lbs crowd!

Extended family rendezvoused for dinner at a central location recently. Food was very good; both the scallops and ribs were enjoyed. Service was friendly, helpful, and excellent. Desserts were really good; the hardest part was making a choice between some very appealing options. The menu here reportedly changes with availability of local products, so it is worthwhile to look online at the current menu before you come. Dinner for two with a couple of drinks, desserts and a tip ran about $140 but all felt it was a worthwile visit. .

I came here to get some dessert to bring back to my hotel room. The selection was overwhelming with many creative choices. I was pleasantly surprised to find half moon cookies that were baked/frosted like I am used to from the Syracuse-Utica NY area (more like mini cakes). There were all these unique cookies in some cute shapes that children and adults would like.
They had some savory choices, like quiche and cheese croissants that looked outstanding. A "local" told me their soup is outstanding.

Early morning coffee was hot (and good) and baked goods there was a selection of fresh scones and muffins. Perfect for we travellers passing through. I appreciated the friendly staff and that they were open so early while the rest of town was asleep.

Rojo is a Caribbean and Spanish tapas and wine bar. Rojo’s plates are originated, prepared and served by the Fernandez-Pujol family. Rojo offers a relaxed, fun place to meet and chat over carefully selected wines, cider and beers; paired with tasty small plates. Rojo’s ambience is trendy, but local; hip but inviting.
Come hungry and share 4 tapas for you two, or have a snack with your wine. The food is lovingly prepared by owner/ chef
And includes perfect empanadas, great salads, warm and cold, snacking plantains with drizzled cheese, savory mushrooms stuffed with artichokes. Great varied menu. We intend to keep returning till we've tried it all. Bravo!!!

We wandered into Slices while exploring Saugerties. It's small place in an old building at the center of town. Excellent pizza. Good service. Hard to beat a place like this. I enjoyed their sauce and the pizza wasn't so heavy with cheese that the sauce got lost. Good spot for lunch or dinner. I would return.

After opening several years ago in a formerly doomed spot, Murray's quickly became a local institution and *the* midday hangout serving coffee and small plates. Now moved across the street into a converted church they have again transformed a formerly doomed space into a comfortable hangout and great place to meet. Food is simple and well done, popular with students, old-timers and the occasional tourist. Now just starting special events upstairs in an amazing church room.

Season Ice Cream Shop.
This place is really terrific. The prices are reasonable, the treats are totally delicious and the portions are big. They have all the trimmings and sprinkles that you want too. This is the place to be for dessert, especially on hot summer evenings!

The food was excellent. The waits were not. Came got dinner on a Saturday night. The dining room was about half full. Tons of staff standing around but it still took about ten minutes to get a menu and a solid 45 minutes between ordering and when appetizers arrived. The food was very good with nice portions, enough without being too much. Not sure if it was an off night for the staff, but based on the food, we will be back.
