This was a "first" time visit. Read about the "creme of crab soup". Tried it. Disappointed! Just creme with a few bits of lump crab. Next, the fried oysters platter with 1 side.
Now, I was really expecting an "over the top" platter. What I got was 3 nice breaded oysters and 2 smaller ones. Looked like they just fried 2 extra frozen oysters to add to the 5 oyster plate. Shame on the Chef for this, should have been uniform. Next, the side. French fries bits and what looked like french fries. Think it was the bottom of the bag. Over cooked and poorly presented also. Asked wonderful sweet server to bring baked potatoe, which was best part of the meal; not to mention the warm rolls.
All in all, o.k.; but would not return. For a total of $24 including ice tea, could get better elsewhere. Sorry this was such a disappointment for a nice location, friendly servers restaurant.

We arrived for dinner on a Saturday at about 1650 in the afternoon, with no reservations. We were seated immediately. Our meal was handled by two servers, Jesse and Michael in a team effort. We were greeted immediately and service was uniformly good, they were there when we needed them, but gone when we didn't, and they allowed us the time to figure out our meal, without being pushy. Very good service.
We started with salads, berry & goat cheese, and the signature Bluestone. While very different, both were quite good, fresh, and well presented. We also had a dozen oysters on the half-shell, which were a delight. For entrees we had the salmon and the tuna. Both were well prepared, presented with style, and served in a timely fashion. The portion sizes were somewhat generous, not stingy as other reviews have mentioned; if anything, it was a but to much, but we ordered a lot of food. As a result, we skipped dessert.
We had a very good dining experience here, and would definitely return. One we left, the parking lot was full, and there were folks waiting for tables and waiting to find parking. If you plan to arrive later than we did on a Saturday, it would be prudent to make reservations.

Our Family has nearly a century old tradition of serving "Serious Barbecue." Andy Sr. Learned his labor of love from his dad, 'Guy Nelson' - Chief Barbecue Man for Limestone County, Alabama. In the 50's, Andy & Betty were not only attending Memphis State, raising a family, and sighting the real Elvis, but they were also developing a BBQ style all their own, integrating the spiciness of Memphis BBQ with the Old Nelson Family tradition. Andy's not famous for his championship years with the Baltimore Colts; he's famous for his hickory smoked BBQ. Ask Andy and he'll tell you that one of the secrets is slow cooking. Our BBQ is smoked many hours over Hickory logs until it falls off the bone, then simmered in our own heirloom sauce. Regularly voted "Baltimore's Best BBQ" by the staff and readers of Baltimore Magazine and the City Paper, this is one "Q" you won't want to miss. So let us take you and your guests down the Ol' Mississippi with great "Q" and maybe a little Elvis background music (streamed from Andy's iPod, of course). We recommend adding some of our Extra Fixin's to compliment your meal. We have been providing the Maryland area residents with the Best BBQ in a family atmosphere for over 30 years. We have been delivering quality BBQ to our local community and have never lost sight of what "The Best Q" means to our family and our guests. When it comes to BBQ, we make sure that everything is always made from scratch and everything always tastes perfect. I guarantee it! -Andy Nelson
I have to admit: I've never really considered myself a fan of BBQ. Growing up north of the Mason-Dixon line, BBQ was just not a part of my formative years. Nevertheless, I have to admit that one dinner at Andy Nelson's sure made a believer out of me! You can order an Express Sa"M"wich in either the Regular (5 oz.) or Jumbo (8 oz.) sizes. If you order the Express, you get two sides plus a regular fountain soda. I went with the Jumbo Express Pulled Pork. Other options include Southern Pit Beef, Beef Brisket, Brisket Tips, Beef BBQ, Pulled Turkey Q, and Yardbird {chicken breast}. My Sa"M"wich was ready in just a few minutes with what had to be the largest amount of pulled pork I've ever seen and it was wonderful, everything I hoped it would be and more. Equally wonderful were Grandma's Cole Slaw and Andy's BBQ Beans. If you go, you absolutely must try the beans - they have the most delicious taste - sweet but with an amazing tanginess and bite. My wife also opted for pulled pork but she went for macaroni and cheese and collard greens for her sides. She felt that the collards were a bit too salty for her taste but very much enjoyed the mac and cheese. Both of us enjoyed the cornbread, the perfect complement to our meal. Including our fountain sodas, our dinner for two came to less than $30 - what a bargain! Another aspect that we liked was the down home, unpretentious atmosphere to accompany the great food and friendly service. We're definitely planning on coming back to Andy Nelson's real soon!

This is what a true coffeehouse should be. Fresh roasted quality coffee and a nice atmosphere. I love all of the different types of single source coffees and unique and flavorful blends. I only have one bad note: i have gotten two bad batches of ground coffee. The coffee was sour because they didnt clean out the grinder, so i tend to buy whole bean now.

We held our son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at 7West Bistro Grille in Towson, MD this past December. Boyko Tachkov (Managing Partner) and his staff provided a truly wonderful evening for our families and friends. Boyko helped plan a wonderful rehearsal dinner and took a personal interest in meeting our wishes for the dinner, atmosphere and many extras! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals and serving was family style which allowed many to enjoy their favorites with second portions. If you're looking for an event venue, 7West Bistro is a great choice.
We will definitely visit again next time we are in Towson!

One of my bartender/waitress friends from another restaurant went to work here so I finally got over there to see her and try out Basta Pasta. It was really good, I had a great lunch with salad. The atmosphere is good as well and the restrooms were nice and clean. My biggest problem is it's right on Timonium Road just behind the racetrack and is difficult to get in and out of their parking lot from my house. Hopefully that won't be a problem for you, because it really is a great restaurant and has really good food.

Serving classic Persian cuisine, including kebobs with basmati rice and meat stews (khoresh) and Middle Eastern fusion dishes, including Paella and seafood, in a relaxed, elegant and tranquil atmosphere of Persian carpets, a running window fountain, and traditional Persian and French music. Local artists and musicians are regulars at our small restaurant, and business is brisk on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm. We have been in business since 1988, and strive to offer our diners the best food and service for the best possible price.
How wonderful to find a Persian restaurant whose chef is willing to adapt recipes to accommodate my special low sodium/no salt dietary regimen. Since most dishes are made from scratch, the task was not so difficult yet yielded tasty cuisine with other appropriate spices and flavors. I was given many choices and opted for an appetizer of Haleem Bademjune that features eggplant and beans with pita triangles. It was topped with a yogurt center and was more than enough for the three diners at our table. Other diners ordered and enjoyed the Mango Pear salad while I ordered a chicken dish that seemed to melt in my mouth in a sweet pomegranate sauce. Thought I was ordering the garlic eggplant sauce but another version was presented and the taste was divine so I ate most of it. The traditional rice was beautiful and plentiful though perhaps I should have asked for the crispy bottom, a real delicacy as I recall from my experience in Tehran and in the kitchen of Persian friends. Would love to return though it is quite a trek from my home in Bethesda. Nonetheless, should I be in Towson, it will be worth a second visit for sure. You have to know where it is because this strip shopping center is hidden off the main road.

My first visit. I was craving crab cake and was not disappointed. The single crab cake platter is a great value for $19.99. Lump crab, broiled, big and moist. Includes two sides. Great service too.

One of the only places that took reservations for Christmas Eve 2017. So hard to find a place that accommodate 7 people. Usually the restaurants here do call ahead seating but not reservations. The restaurant was busy, service was wonderful, and the food delicious.Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are thrilled that you decided to spend your Holidays with us!! Look forward to seeing you again soon.
