Tiel (Dutch pronunciation: [til] ( listen)) is a municipality and a town in the middle of the Netherlands. The town is enclosed by the Waal river and the Linge river on the south and the north side, and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal on the east side. The city was founded in the 5th century AD.

A nice spacious restaurant near city centre. Since it is spacious, they could style different parts of the restaurant in various ways, but all stylish. We sat in the back, which had the feel of a village square near a wine cellar. The bar has the atmosphere of a hip and happening lounge bar near the beach, in the front it looks a bit like a byzantine chapel, another part has the vibe of an nice airy beach house, a posh modern up town restaurant and a Greek mountain house, so to each it's own! It looks fresh and welcoming.
Also love the glasses and the plates, again well chosen to match the stylish interior.
Than of course the food: it is more than enough and, for me a big plus: it's not just the standard meat platters (too bad there's only one kind of soup though...). There was just one thing lacking on the menu ( for me, that is) and that would me a combination platter of fish and meat dishes.
Still, the traditional Greek dishes were very tasty and fresh. Loved the thrakiotiko! The salad was very fresh as well, they might want to consider serving some other salads (beets or farm salad (they serve the farm salad with some dishes), or potato salad and cauliflower salad or even serving some gigandes or chickpeas standard with some dishes).
The wine list was good: traditional Greek wines, although a bit expensive.
The desserts: I would love to see the traditional Greek kitchen back in the dessert list, Greek pastry is divine, so why not put some more on the menu?
We had a lovely evening, good service, great food, fantastic vibe and atmosphere. When we go to Tiel again, we will definitely be back!
Oh, almost forgot: when the weather is good, they have a really nice garden to sit and enjoy dinner

My wife and I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening. Although the restaurant is located in a small village, the restaurant was nicely filled. We had the monthly special menu. The food was good, but the portions were not oversized. Nevertheless we had a great dinner with some nice (Belgian) beers. The cost of the dinner was more than reasonable. All-in-all I can recommend this restaurant to anybody who is in this rural area of the Netherlands.

With family and friends we booked at Bistre De Buurvrouw...
A very warm and nice decorated bistro in Tiel, with a very good reputation in food and atmosphere...so we tried.
We had a very warm welcome by host Stef, so nice that we felt "home" immediately !
We had a great big round table, close to the internal yard (good for us to smoke one in between)...
The card is very diverse and after we got a small drink (fruit-juice/liquer) and an amuse from the chef, we decided to order...
The friendlyness of the staff is amazing and we where very well advised about food and wines.
All...but really all was very tasty, the service extraordinary good and symphatic and it gave us the real bistro-feelings for a price which below big-city level.
After dinner the owner came to ask how we liked it, ...well...still enjoying our coffee and complimentary bon-bons/chocolates, we could only say GREAT !
We do dinner (worldwide) everywhere, but this was a very surprising EXCELLENT !
Staff, kitchen, atmosphere, food, price, service, facilities, bar for an after-drink, price-quality...TOP !
We'll be back Stef & Margo...what a home-feeling !

This is one of the better Sushi places in the Netherlands whilst is still reasonably priced. The restaurant has a front part, a kitchen and a back part. Be sure you make a reservation in the front. In the back the walls and ceiling reflect a lot of sound which makes it a very noisy place. In the front side this is much better and confortable
In the Netherlands the concept of "all-u-can-eat" is still very popular, this place also does it. For a limited amount you can order 3 different small dishes per round per person with a maximum of 5 rounds The good quality is the differentiator here. Everything is made fresh, what needs to be cold is placed on ice on your plate. Hot dishes are served on hot plates.
Service is good, lots of young people serving.
Try the Tokyo-roll - this is fantastic!!!

This is a restaurant we return to from time to time. So far every time (+10visits) has been perfect. Food is fresh and of good quality and the recommended wine choices are spot on. Staff is friendly and helpful. The chef himself often comes to the table to check if everything is alright. And if you have specific allergies he double checks it in person to get it right.
Only tiny flaw is that the main menu does not change so often...

In the city center, small weird situated inside but very good food! If you don't mind that people are looking at your plate you can have tastefull falafel and the best ribs and grilled steak you can have in Tiel! The owner does his best to make you feel special. Overall very nice.
