At Caribou, the surroundings are comfortable and the focus is contemporary cuisine of exceptional quality. We are a North American bistro providing you amazing food and top-notch service. In our restaurant, we do not stick to just one type of cuisine. Our chefs are inspired by foods and dishes from Italy to Korea, and more. Signature dishes created by Chef Craig Vieira include certified Angus tenderloin, cedar plank salmon, black and blue ahi tuna and wood oven pizzas. To complete your meal, try one of our desserts that are prepared in-house by our pastry chef. In addition to providing a variety of cuisines from an array of culinary backgrounds, we present an extensive wine list that was compiled by our wine expert, Jeff Hupka. At caribou, we are pleased to offer you a wine list chosen for quality and value with exceptional selection. Our list includes an excellent vintage selection of rare and world class wines, as well as over 30 wines by the glass. Our wine philosophy is focused to bring you a great dining experience enhanced with carefully selected wines to complement your meal. If you're in the mood for a variety of wines, try one of our wine flights. Caribou has been listed in "Where to Eat in Canada" for several years running and the wine list has earned the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" every year since 2002. For an unforgettable experience, come join us at Caribou for a delicious meal and a delectable glass of wine.
I regularly have lunch here, solo at the bar (there’s a fairly regular business lunch crowd here). Lunches are only Thursday and Friday. Healthy, delicious meals at exceptionally reasonable price points, and they will have you in and out in 45 minutes easily. Top it off with an espresso before heading back to work! You can also call ahead and pick up a lunch to go.
Steak and white bean salad is a fantastic lunch that won’t cause an afternoon carb-crash.

We arrived here from Minnesota in our jeans and sweatshirt. Didn't realize it was a "really nice" restaurant as we just looked at the rating and wanted a place nearby our hotel.
The staff treated us exceptionally!
This is a top notch restaurant when it comes to service and food.
We arrived around 5:30 without Reservations but they found a table for us. Water, olives and bread were served immediately as well as our drinks.
We had the Caesar Salad and Beet/Spinach salad which were very good.
Our entrees were Braised Beef Short Ribs and the Shrimp Linguini. Tender beef - food was great all the way around.
I did wish the beef had been served without the bone.
Prices are higher than what I've seen elsewhere but it was worth it.
Before I left they brought me the Beet Salad leftovers in a take out container although I hadn't requested it. We left without it as I didn't want it but I hadn't told anyone and on the way out someone came behind us to bring it to us as they thought we forgot it.
Now that's great service!

OK- the name has “steakhouse” in it, but I accompanied my partner with the hope that this semi- carnivore would find enough fresh, healthy alternatives to survive. There are a few options: crudités at the salad bar, baked potato, Caesar salad, Yorkshire pudding and rolls. Otherwise it’s meat, meat, meat. Partner said prime rib was average (a bit “chewy”). There were diners around us who were obviously relishing their enormous portions of meat. Ambiance dated.

We went without Reservations on a Friday night. Big mistake! Make Reservations! We had to sit at the bar as there were no tables but the service was amazing. Our male bartender/server was attentive and friendly. We had Crab Cakes. Mussels, New York Strip Loin and the Filet. The food was cooked to perfection. It was delicious. The restaurant is classy, a notch above the Keg but without the stuffiness of some higher end restaurants. The menu is extensive, the drinks are great and the service is phenomenal. We will be back, with Reservations!

I hadn’t been there for brakfast for a while and it has changed. Prices are up and the pancake serving has slipped from three to two. The breakfast menu is shortened also.
Since they remodeled the business seems to have dropped right off. The counter has gone and with it a lot of the regulars. Service was good, the Finn cakes excellent and on the plus side they have a seniors discount which makes the prices easier to take.

The classic style bacon and eggs ordered with pancakes is more than most people could eat.
Add a decent cup of coffee and an attentive server and you have a winning combination.
Parking lot can be a little crowded.
For visitors arriving from the US turn right at Arthur Street and the restaurant is behind Mac's on your right.
Our grand kids love this place.

The food was delicious! I loved my green curry dish -- flavored to my request (not hot)! I would've given 5 stars, but the service was very slow -- we waited quite a while for our check and then our change. Also, dress warm. We were there on a very cold night and every time the door opened we felt a bit cool. I like Thai food and this will be my "go to" restaurant!

We were told this was a must eat spot. We went with a local so we found the place easily. They had a variety of ecclectic food options. We ordered the proscuitto fig pizza, cucumber smash, fried cauliflower, side pickles, and wings. The food came in good time and was tastey. The ambiance from what I saw looked like a wooden pub. We were in close to the bar, so I'm not sure if there was more further or had an upstairs or not.
The bathrooms had lots of graffitti on the walls which seemed a mit of a mismatch between the restaurant vibe.

My son had taken me here and I enjoyed it so this time I brought my wife for her firsts experience. Food and staff were great and although it is a bit of a small place it has a great vibe. It is close enough to the marina it will be a great place to come grab some good food made by some local owners!
We will be back for sure!

If you want authentic, fresh and perfectly flavoured food with the flare of Lebanon then you absolutely have to eat here. The individual flavour of each dish is mouth watering. The schwarma is turning on the spot as it's shared off fresh for your meal, the habra kabob is something you will long for once you've tried it. Of course the hummus and babaganush is over the top. What most people miss out on it the under promoted garlic dip. It will knock your socks off. The family and staff are wonderful and only too happy to help you understand and enjoy what you are eating. You truly will want more.
