The menu attempts to offer a different spin on several typical pub sandwiches. We ordered 3 different mels, the diablo, pulled pork, and bbq chicken. Bbq chicken is pulled, actually finely shredded...so much so that you really lose the taste that it is even chicken. All sandwiches said they came came with lettuce and pickles on the side which they did not on any of our plates. Paprika is heavy on the fries and both pulled pork and chicken. I like paprika but it was so heavy it was truly all I tasted the entire meal. Place is very clean and server was pleasant, but totally not impressed with the food at all. Also ordered the whiskey flight, didn’t find a favorite there either. We went on a Wednesday and the special was comfort food which was a pasta dish. One person in our group was torn between that and a sandwich. He asked her if the pasta was good? She suggested he stick with the sandwich because she felt the pasta was missing something and was just ok. That pretty much sums up the whole experience for us.

We've vacationed in the Union Pier area several times but somehow always manage to miss eating at this restaurant. This trip we said we definitely must try it. Our first night we decided to, but really just wanted to stay in our cottage and not eat out. We were literally 2 min. away so we ordered take out. I got the rib mac n cheese and my husband got the flat iron steak. We both were soooo disappointed. The mac n cheese was not cheesy at all. It was kind of a soupy mess. The "rib meat" was more like pulled pork, but stringy, grisly in some spots, and hard as a rock in other. Then it was drenched in bbq sauce on top. Now I love me some BBQ sauce, but this was ridiculous. My husband's steak was WAY under cooked when it was supposed to be medium. I'm pretty sure we still heard it moo. Also it was completely unseasoned. For $40 it was a tremendous let down. The portions were huge BUT does it really matter when you don't want to eat it?! Oh...and also I was upcharged for soup instead of salad. When asked what dressing I wanted I asked if there's any other options than salad. I was told I could get soup instead but never told there was an extra charge. Well...there was. It was only a $1 but still. Things like that should be brought to the customer's attention. FYI: Take out is picked up at the bar...which was crazy busy, and the bartender didn't really want to deal with take out orders so it took forever to get their attention. :(

Friend recommended this restaurant which is know for people from Chicago to drive just to have meal. Gorgeous outside sitting watching native garden but when food arrived you just forget about everything else. Menu is not big but anything on it is delicious. There were three of us so got chance to try 3 dishes and they were amazing and so tasty. Even presentation of rice is so colorful. Would drive there from Chicago area anytime again just to taste the food.

Just off I-94 at exit 12, Greenbush Brewing Co. is nestled in the historic downtown of Sawyer, MI. Specializing in robust & inspired beers, southern-style barbeque, from-scratch cuisine, artisan meats & a DIY mentality, Greenbush is a haven for both beer and food enthusiasts alike.
Visiting family in St. Joe & they took us for lunch cause they love this place, so we were excited to try it out. Really cool decor plus the staff seemed friendly enough & the menu selections were interesting...also surprisingly crowded for 2:00 on a Friday afternoon.
We ordered bbq briscuit, chili & wings, all of which arrived quickly with nice sized portions. Problem was...everything was just "ordinary"...not really that great. Briscuit was quite dry, not much taste & served on a terrible bun (maybe just old & stale ?). Chili needed some kind of additional spices (very bland) & the wings were nothing special...too bad. Maybe our expectations were too high, or perhaps the cook was having an off day (?)...but we were not impressed enough to want to return. In addition, the tables are jammed too close together making getting in & out very difficult.
PS: Potato salad was very good, however

Tried sample platter that included brisket, ribs and pulled pork. Ribs had meat falling off, brisket was very juicy. Pulled pork was a little dry for my taste but still good. The BBQ was a bit on a too sweet side for my taste. Loved the corn bread. Plenty of delicious food.
Service was very welcoming. The owner came out and greeted, made sure we were satisfied.
The restaurant was clean, nice decor, spacious bathroom.
Come enjoy:)

We've started coming to Luisa's couple of years ago, and this continues to be our favorite breakfast place. They are busy so be prepared to wait 30 min to an hour for a table but it's so worth it! Also, the Dutch apple pancake is more like apple cake and it's huge. If you are in the area or passing by you must stop and try those pancakes.

Cute, little place with a wide variety of ice cream flavors. One scoop equals two mini scoops. I can never decide what I want, so I get two mini scoops so I can have 2 ice cream flavors. The portions are generous and prices arent bad. Place is filled with hundreds of different pig figurines, etc. Fun to look around. Expect a crowd in the summer months/peak season.By sharing your experiences, you're helping travelers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!

The Cafe at the Pumpernickel in Union Pier was a great local eatery. The outside appearance with old brick implied an outdated mom & pop diner, but inside, the restaurant was modern and clean and decorated well.
We would have LOVED to see the teen staff trained to make our experience even better as the food was good. I had a HUGE portion of locks on my bakery bagel and my husband was very pleased with his frittata. With that said, since the food is pretty important, the teen staff wasn't able to effectively serve, focusing on only one table at a time, so we waited a long time to get water, order, and get the extras we needed during the meal. Friendly, but inexperienced. We were anxious to get on with our vacation day, so spent too much time inside waiting.
Take your time, and go. Only real breakfast served right in Union Pier.

The lunch we had was nothing to write home about.
We both had wraps - nothing special about either. I believe both lemonade and iced tea both commercially made.
