The Black Bear Restaurant offers guests a true European experience. The restaurant has a cosy and homely feel to it and is decorated in a rustic theme with some touches of alpine decor. ( Winter Only) The fully licensed a la carte restaurant and bar has been part of Thredbo folklore for several decades. We feature both Australian and international cuisine, however, a favourite with our patrons and specialty of the house is fondue. Boasting the same unsurpassed views as the restaurant and your room, the bar has European beers and imported Schnapps and fine Australian wine on offer and for those sometimes important not to be missed occasions we also have ski movies running in the bar. A feature of any stay at Candlelight Lodge is to join the other guests in the bar and on the deck to watch the weekly flare run before fireworks light up the mountain each Saturday at 6pm during the ski season.
