SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL'S was created in 1972 by Rey Fernandez and his English wife Jane Pearson. They transformed a Tudor-style family mansion in Polanco into a well loved Restaurant that has become a famous landmark in Mexico City. Churchill's continues to amaze new customers as well as it's faithful clientele alike with the outstanding quality of it's food and a dedicated service for over 40 years. The delicious meals which include traditional favourites like Beef Wellington and Prime Rib of Roast Beef compete with the new daily specialities created by Churchill's talented Chef from France. A visit to Churchill's is an experience to be savoured as it is a true oasis in the very heart of Mexico City.
The Churchill is one of the best places to go since 1972 when it opened. The house it's a Tudor British stile. The Roast Prime Ribe of Beff with the traditional Yorkshire Pudding is for me the supreme plate you can select, it's fantastic ! other delicious dish it's Wellington filet. You have to try the variety of Deserts with an Irelands coffee. The service and the food are really extraordinary and the prices are fare enough. The place has a Terrace where you can have lunch or stay there for a drink. Tjis it's an oasis in the big city.

We came here for lunch and it was packed! We were eager to try the place so we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. The place is huge with two floors of dedicated dining space. We were seated on the second floor at a table in the middle of the restaurant. The menu is long and a bit exhaustive, but they try to have something for everyone. The vegetarian options were limited, but the server and the maître d tried their best to find items that worked for us. We ordered a cactus salad quesadillas, enchiladas, and a pitcher of sangria. The food was good and the portions were generous. It’s solid Mexican food, but nothing that will blow you away. What will blow you away, is the exceptional service that will have you waiting 30+ minutes for a table.

Les Moustaches is an award-winning fine dining restaurant. The magnificent French food and exclusive wine list are the elements that have made Les Moustaches a well-known and prestigious restaurant. It is located in a renovated house from the last century, in the financial district, two blocks from Angel de la Independencia. The elegant French decorations and piano & violin music help to create a great dining atmosphere.
Les Moustaches, near the US Embassy in Mexico City, is an elegant and affordable restaurant. The food preparation and the service were simply exquisite. The spinach salad was unusual but perhaps the tastiest I have ever eaten. My salmon with risotto was perfect. Based off the reviews and the convenience of being directly opposite the Hyatt, we elected to eat dinner here. I went 100% seafood and wasn’t disappointed. Check out the photos for graphic detail. The Ahi Tuna wasn’t the best cut (but we are in the middle of Mexico...) and was a little frozen when served. Mahi mahi cerviche was delicious. While very good, I gave the restaurant an average review based on the fact that to make 5 stars you have to be epic and 4 stars - exceedingly good with consideration to price and location. The price here for Mexico was above average but fair and the service was reasonable. The football was playing on the TV and that served to understandably distract the largely male waiters. To summarise; GO - you won’t be disappointed.

Where the culture that inspires mexican food is taught.
Zefiro is an exceptional restaurant in Mexico City because it is home to one of the best schools of gastronomy, at the Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana. It is located one block away from the old convent of the St Jerome nuns, where in New Spain times the famous Sor Juana spent her life writing poetry, theater and cooking books!!! The restaurant offers a unique menu of traditional Mexican dishes prepared and presented in absolutely modern ways, The cocktail list is also very creative. The main dining room is a fusion of modern and colonial architecture, quite nice, with very pleasant baroque music from the colonial epoch in the background . There is also a Terrace outside, in a large quiet patio where service is also offered. The clientele is diverse, all appreciative of gourmet food. I have been there twice, with family and with work colleagues, and find the place quite recomendable. I have tasted the tamal de chaya, the chicharron soup, the pork in chichilo mole, the fish tacos, the crab tacos, the pork in manchamanteles sauce, and very elaborated desserts. Students of the gastronomy school function as waiters and provide ample explanations, if required, about the ingredients and cooking techniques used in each dish. The restaurant is a bit hidden becuase of the layout of narrow old streets in the part of the old capital of New Spain, but the easiest way to get there is to go to the corner of Izasaga Avenue and Isabel la Catolica Street, walk one block north along Isabel la Catolica and then turn left at the small street, where you will finf Zefiro just 50 meters ahead on your right,

There are two locations near downtown for Pasteleria Ideal. Thankfully our hotel was about a block away. My girlfriend and myself love bakeries, and had to stop here daily at least once! Pasteleria Ideal is almost overwhelming with the amount of pastries, cookies, and cakes they have. I love the self serve style they do in Mexico, you grab a tray and tongs and select your own pastries. Once done, let them wrap it up at the counter, pay, and you are on your way! My favorite pastries here have to be the filled croissants and cinnamon roll type pastries. I wish I could keep coming back to try more. The prices are very reasonable and they seemed to be open all day, definitely save room for dessert and stop in Pasteleria Ideal!

One of the best steakhouses in Mexico City. With excellent choices of meat cuts and traditional dishes. In addition we offer an extensive wine and cocktail list to pair with your food. You will enjoy a perfect atmosphere and at amazing view to Paseo de la Reforma Avenue.
Service was amazing and menu delivers a twist on standard Mexican food. the Steaks rival Argentina - take the advice of the waiters - Hugo and the team were very knowledgeable. If you want something luxurious but still with a Mexican feel this is the lace.
