Zapata’s has the best chicken, beef, and shrimp fajitas in town! Their homemade salsa is a great way to start the meal. My last visit I tried black flat chicken enchiladas. They were superb and I will definitely be ordering them again. The chicken tacos are great as well as the tortilla soup, grilled salmon, and chili reno dinner. Great place worth the drive downtown!

What I love about Texarkana is that they have so many interesting restaurants! Would you believe that there are over 100 wonderful places to dine just in the Texarkana area alone.
Whenever I have a craving for some wonderful homemade Gelato, I always head to Taste and See and I am never disappointed. Because I can never, ever settle for just one yummy flavor, I always buy a pint of gelato with two flavors. Ah, pure bliss.
Yes, I know that they are also well known for their wonderful coffees but would you believe that they also have interesting drinks for sale. The last time I was there, I was able to purchase a six pack of Boylan's Bottling Company Black Cherry Cane Sugar Soda which they have been serving to the American public since 1891!
Travelers Tip: Taste and See is super easy for the Interstate 30 traveler to locate. Just exit at Richmond Road and head north past Sam's Club. It is located in a strip mall just behind the car wash on your right! And I am very pleased to say that it is locally owned and operated!

Enjoyed our quick stop for lunch. Had the brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Really good sausage!! Loved the cheesy corn and the local fountain drink options. The decor was adorable. It still looks like a gas station on the outside but is nicely decorated on the inside. Would definitely come back!!

This is a family favorite. We stop here for burgers and fries almost every trip to Texarkana. They serve hearty portions that taste good.

My wife and love to eat at Cattleman's Steak House. We discovered it about a year ago and it reminds us of an old steakhouse we went to growing up. The service is top notch and the food is great. We have tried the prime rib, filet, and NY strip. Highly recommend this place.

This place gets a top billing on TripAdvisor, but I think that says more about the Texarkana choices than it does about the Ironwood Grill. There’s nothing outstanding about this place.
The shrimp Po’ Boy sandwich contained a decent amount of shrimp, but it would have been impossible to fold the bread into a sandwich that would fit into a normal human being’s mouth. The accompanying fries were thoroughly mediocre; for a better version, try McDonald’s.
The blackened fish sandwich was also quite large, although the fish ingredient itself was on the small side (lots of lettuce and tasteless tomato filler). It didn’t have much flavor either. Inexplicably, this sandwich came with chips rather than fries, but given the tasteless fries, that was probably a better alternative.
The wine choices are limited, but fairly reasonably priced. The service was attentive, and was the best part of our experience.

Legendary Food, Legendary Service
Our server was very good. He accommodated our large group by seating us so we could watch game while we ate.
That was the good. The steak was chewy with excessive amount of fat. The veggies were over cooked. Baked potato was cooked to perfection. Others in group had similar observations but not as pointed as mine.
Another guest had the prime rib and he said it was good.
There are TVs to watch in bar area. There is well stocked bar. About six beers on tap. No micro brews.

Took my husband there for his birthday. He had his usual Colossal Fried shrimp which he enjoyed I very seldom eat a steak, but had one that night. I like my steak well done. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and seasoned just right. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse which is always good. Great Steakhouse to go for a special occasion or just for good food. The fish and seafood are great also. The salad bar is very good with fresh veggies and good homemade salad dressings. I have to eat Gluten Free and they work with me to offer me a good meal that offers Gluten Free options.

Reggie's is a fast-casual, traditional American restaurant that specializes in high-end burgers and deep fried hot dogs made fresh-to-order with Certified Angus Beef. Other menu items include fresh-cut fries, Vidalia onion rings, premium chicken sandwich, fried bologna sandwich, fish basket, (vegetarian) Portobello sandwich, ground-turkey burger and hand-dipped Blue Bell ice cream shakes.
My wife, grandson and I chose Reggie's Burgers for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the place was very clean and the service was excellent. Be sure and try the onion rings.
