Welcome to Ficus, one of the culinary icons Chillan. Since 1992, our restaurant has been synonymous with the best food in town. During the first years we distinguish ourselves by our delicious pizzas, what then add a wide variety of Italian meals. Today we have incorporated different dishes among which our grilled meats.
Value for money, with good food- simple and rustic and warm, personal service. The Pisco Sours were so inexpensive and they were delicious. Both nights the place was full and the vibe was alive and funky. We sang using the Karaoke guide- to shouts of encouragement from the locals. It was a fun place and we enjoyed it both evenings.

I had dinner here - handsome dining room and very good food. It is on the main plaza and is the town's top hotel. The waiter was most attentive and the food interesting.

Was highly recommended by the concierge at the Hotel Javier Carrerra, where we stayed for 9 days. Very quaint, nice people, rooms small & minimal, but clean; no AC. Not sure Motoneta 1 was on 5 de Abril, but close! Wonderful food, we went back 3 times!

Get a cappuccino. This will not be like any other "cappuccino" in Chile, but with real milk and very, very smooth. Amazing. Also, fresh FRESH salads straight from the organic farmer who owns the restaurant. Sit out back on the Terrace, it is beautiful any time of year. Worth the flight just to come back to this place - it is consistently great any time of year. Chat with the owners - this café not only has the best coffee and freshest food in town, but some of the best of people.

Fuego Divino, reconocido a nivel nacional por su exquisita comida y su alto nivel de servicio, elegido el ano 2011 ,el mejor de la region y 2012,2013,2014,2015,20..", entre los 100 mejores de Chile, imperdible
Fantastic beef! One of the best steaks I have tried in Chile and less expensive than most other top steak-houses. Good atmosphere, pleasant service. The wine list offers some fairly boring wines unfortunately. With great beef like this they could offer some big wines to pair!

We speak very little Spanish and the waitress tried very hard to help us order. She was really quite good. Our Salmon was excellent and the white sauce (served on the side) was tasty.
It would be helpful if more restaurants had a little English under their menu offerings. We talked to a couple outside (we ate inside) that were ordering "blind", so there are other tourists in Chile that don't speak Spanish all that well.

Been coming here for four years and enjoyed all meals here. The fiod is good as is the place. It's nicely decorated. Feels comfortable.
They are very friendly towards families and children. I've remembered the same waiters over then years I've been here.
Don't expect fine cuisine. Expect nice good food.

Stick to the gnocchi or pastas, meat and fish dishes tend to be overcooked. Majority of the sauces are heavy on the cream but good comfort food for a cold winter night. Good for families and big groups, one of the few places in Chillan that's open on Sundays. Cheap wine by the glass.

Service is good, wait times are average depending on how busy they are. The food in particular is not your typical Arab food, I guess the best way to describe it is that it is "Chileanized". A lot on the menu is stuffed vegetables, such as zucchinis , bell peppers, potatoes etc. that are stuffed with curry flavored rice & meat. It was something different. Overall the food is pretty good and a lot healthier than most restaurants around.
