Fonda Cholula is the best restaurant in town. If you want to get a full vision about Tequila you have to complete with the flavor of the agave on your meal. You can enjoy the colors and flavors of our mexican gastronomy, but overall you're going to taste the flavor of agave and penca in your meal. We use the best ingredients to get an awesome experience in your visit: Great service with our young waiters. Innovative, colorful and creative gastronomy made by our local cookers, refreshing drinks with a mixology touch! Come to visit us & enjoy the taste of the agave on your meal!
We had been nibbling and sipping our way through Tequila this afternoon and only needed a nightcap and a snack to see us through to breakfast. We stopped at Cholula La Fonda and ordered two higher quality Margaritas and some Tacos Tahones (sp?). The margaritas were delicious, served with strands of cooked mescal, as used in production of Tequila. These were some of the tastiest margaritas we have had, 110 pesos each. The 3 tacos, with carne arrachera, were served with a small dollop of guacamole, a hint of cilantro and some chopped white onions. On my first bite of the taco I bit something hard - I thought maybe there were bones in the arrachera - but on closer examination it was just very hard, dry edges on the tacos. These were not fresh tacos - for 210 pesos for 3 tacos the quality should be much better. When I showed the rock hard taco edges to the waiter he was not at all conciliatory. 3/5 is the score.

A popular seafood restaurant located on a side street near the church in this nationally recognized "Pueblo Magico." They either have entertainment on the stage or strolling musicians. The walls are rather pleasing if garishly painted with an underwater scene reminiscent of "the Little Mermaid." The food is very good and well priced.
Delicious fresh shrimp ceviche and guacamole, can't think how it could be better. The house special shrimp Tequila sauce and shrimp was even better. Service was attentive and efficient and aimed to please. A Mariachi band came by, an absolute treat, beautifully sung canciones. Pretty ambiance. On our way out, we saw a load of what appeared to be freshly caught shrimp being delivered. Highly recommended.

We love what we do, we love our meals, Taste our special & unique dish with the agave's flavor... the ranchero's style in Tequila!
I loved the outside Seating, ambiance and food. My two friends weren't crazy about their food but it they said it wasn't bad. Our waiter seemed a little rushed but was normally very quick at getting things we asked for. I loved how they prepared the salsa right in front of us. We ordered a non-spicy salsa and it ended up being too spicy for two of us to eat. Maybe we're just whimps though!

This is a no frills hole in the wall that serves a great drink in the Batanga, which is dangerously delicious, in a warm and friendly environment. We even met up with the bartenders later at another bar for a nightcap. Probably not for everyone's, but for those that "get it", it's a must.

We make the best & unique pizzas with wood brick oven in all the town! We have a beautiful and small place under a traditional clay-roof like the pictoric town. Also we stole the wood oven from our friends from the little villages stablished arround Tequila town. All our recipes have a simple mark: our ingredients are mexican and have a ranchero style and name. But overall we mix with the best drinks: ross wine, beer and better tequilas! Tejaban have a warming, cozy and pictoric place. We have every weekend music events alive. Just the perfect atmosphere to be with your friends.
Me and my boyfriend had a lovely meal here. As a vegetarian, there we limited options. We asked our waitress what she could offer, and given that we weren't super hungry, she happily offered to make us a half-half pizza of his meaty choice and of a "vegetarian" for me. My half came with mushroom, pepper and pineapple. It was delicious, thin, and crispy. Everything you want from a pizza at a good price.
Thank you very much for a lovely meal!

We experienced a culinary tour around Jalisco’s most popular dishes, elevated to fine dining level; all with impeccable service and a beautiful view of the Cathedral from the Terrace... Not to be missed! A special shout-out to Paul, or attentive waiter...

This restaurant is set in a lovely park within one of the Casa Sauza distillery's properties. We went in during the morning just to look around the park and take pictures and saw they were setting up a huge buffet...we were told that the buffet was MXP295/person and started at 1 pm (theorically, if you are really hungry, you can stay until the end at 6 pm). When lunch time arrived, we decided to go back and try it out. Nice setting, awesome table-side prepared salsa and fresh and delicious food. They literally have every Mexican dish that you can imagine .... Tortilla soup, quesadillas, flautas, sopes, mole, tortas ahugadas, different metas on the BBQ and a varied vegetable & salad bar. Not to forget the dessert table... At least 10 different desserts to please every palate!
Thumbs up.
