Had the house specialty, "steak on a stone". Filet mignon served on a hot granite stone. You slice and cook to your preference. All three at our table that tried it remarked that each bite was hot. Nice assortment of sides with dinner, and the marscapone lemon cake was fantastic for desert. We sat on the side porch after dinner and enjoyed the view.

This place has a post card atmosphere. Located in a beautiful small town at the base of Cumberland Mountain, an area filthy rich in American history. Great lunch spot with very creative daily specials and great coffee. Staff is super friendly, all the ingredients are fresh and most offerings are made to order. There is limited amount of indoor seating but when the weather permits the best choice is to grab a table outside next to the small creek that runs through the property. They're open evenings and the outdoor seating area is decorated in strings of bistro lights. With the creek this like the scene out of a romantic movie.
If you're in the area, this is definetly worth a stop. You won't be disappointed.

Stumbled upon this place while driving through the Cumberland Gap. What a pleasant surprise.. I had the daily special of Meatloaf and Mashed potatoes. Sorry mom, but it was the best I've had.
The cafe is small town quaint and the owner is normally there working.
Don't leave without trying the desserts!

The best burgers and fries in town! You have to have a Frostee Freeze milkshake. They are amazing! Butterscotch is the best or a chocolate malt. I highly recommend trying a pizza burger. You will not be disappointed. Old fashion drive in service and a dinning room also.

Great place for a steak dinner. Casual atmosphere and good service. Bar area with a good assortment of beer and a patio outside. During the summer they usually have live bands so you get entertainment with your meal.

Known formerly as Carla's Café, the newly named "Corner Café", has hands down the BEST hamburger you ever remember eating...ever!!! Mid price range and catering available, the new owners have a idea to good eats and times in mind. An old freezing unit has been repurposed for a banquet room to hold approximately 20 people comfortably. Take a moment; take a seat; take time for yourself to enjoy a trip back to the past where "burgers and fries" were the American way.

Looked forever for the old fashion steamed hoagie...Found it at Marks. Cool environment for the hottest Turkey hoagie made through the old fashion steamer method. Loved it! Loved Marks.

Heavys is located beside the beautiful Powell River. You get their after a 10 mile drive asking it on a single lane road
The drive conjured up images from the movie “Deliverance” - country folk living in mountains beside the river. Beautiful country!
Please note that Heavys is closed between Nov and March and appears to cater to campers and tubers who recreate along the river.
We didn’t actually get to eat there but the drive was fun - would we get lost when we lost our cell signal? There were a few tense minutes for us lol - we’e from New Jersey.
Try nearby Haymaker Farms for excellent BBQ located on the highway
