Should one craves for pau (steamed white buns with fillings), this is the place to be. Order it for MYR2.20/piece, or bring home the frozen ones.
Choice of fillings available: Chicken, Beef, Red Beans - Not sure if there are variants.
Service however, leaves much to be desired. But hey, if your government can screw you and yet you let it slide, please cut the waiters some slack. Especially during lunch and tea-time, as the place can get quite crowded.

My wife and I together with our friends and their families made a stop at this restaurant for lunch on our way to Fraser's Hill. It is located along the old trunk road from Tanjung Malim town to Kuala Kubu Bharu.
We ordered a variety of dishes and we were happy with most of them. First, the deep fried pork belly was outstanding, crispy yet juicy, very good. The vinegar pork trotters that came in a earthen pot was very fragrant and not too sour. It went very well with hot white rice. The steamed 'patin' fish was fresh but we wished there was more sauce to it. The homemade steamed tofu with minced meat on top was good, light and smooth. The spinach was fried well as it was not overcooked, still green and fresh. The fried 'four heavenly kings' (four types of beans) would have been better if it had not included the brinjal. The steamed herbal chicken was another dish that we liked, a 'kampung' chicken (free-range) was used. So, it was not too oily and the meat was tender and juicy. Furthermore, there was no over-powering herbal flavour. We also ordered a not-so-usual dish, pig small intestine fried 'kam-poh' style. It was delicious but knowing what it was, many of us were quite hestitant.
The restaurant was clean and spacious. The service was fast, maybe because it was after the peak lunch hours when we arrived. The proprietress was friendly and courteous. The price was reasonable. It would definitely be worth a second visit when we are in Tanjung Malim again.

A air con clean restaurant occupying 3 shop lots in the newer part of Tanjung Malim. Has been in operation for more than 15 years. The restaurant serves delicious Nyonya/Chinese food. A popular halal restaurant run by a Chinese manager. Well known for its prawn dishes. Deer and ostrich meat are also available. Also have a good range of vegetable dishes. Friendly staff who can also speak English. Advisable to make prior reservation for lunch during the school holidays as it will be packed with buses with tourists from as far as Singapore and Thailand. Also dinner during the Muslim fasting month is packed. Tastefully lighted and decor is with Malaysian antiques - there are many many antique wall clocks and all showing the time at 10:10 - similing faces!

... If you are around Tanjong Malim during lunch hour, do make a point to stop here for an excellent lunch. If you are not around Tanjong Malim, do make a plan to go there just for lunch. Be there before 1pm as the door will only open then, not a minute sooner. By 3.00pm you are lucky to get the leftovers. I know people who came here from afar just for their fried kampung chicken. Order 2 pieces at once and munch away.
Do not expect top service. Once the door opens, at 1.00pm or so, line up near the dish display case. If you come in pair, the other should grab a place to sit. If you come alone, just line up. Choose your dishes, any dish is good. They use old fashion wood stoves for all their cookings. I'd say fried kampung chicken is to die for. Their kampung chicken rendang is also worth trying. The gulai lemak udang galah or ketam is good. The sambal is simple but delicious. Any dish you choose will be good. Pile it up. Do not be satisfied with a few dishes. Once you have chosen your dishes, they will send it to your table. Again, do not expect top service. Be patient and just enjoy the food.
There is only cold Chinese tea for drink. No other drink. No sirap. No air kosong. No need to order any drink. It will be sent to your table. You are there to enjoy the food.
If you are from the PLUS highway, enter the Tanjong Malim exit and make you way to Tanjong Malim town toward Slim River. The place is directly opposite the KFC/BHP Patrol Station next to the Sekolah Menengah Khir Johari. You have to make a u-turn. Parking is terrible. Find anywhere you can park and just go for the food. The place is nondescript but at noon, you can't miss it. Look for cars parked by the road side. They are closed on Monday.
When the bill came, you are more than glad to pay ...

Its taste for its steak, lamb and chicken is just O.K. However, the seafood is great. Its Salmon fillet is delicious (in my opinion)...
The calamari rings is ok.
You can also tried its Honey Glazed Fish Rice it has quite an intereting flavour to it. The must try beverage is the EasyCool range of interesting color and taste.
So in conclusion, it is quite good in the setting of the place, as it is suitable for short meeting and a reunion party.

Situated approximately 45 mins north from KL, lies a little county called Hulu Bernam. Within it lies a cleverly hidden Thai restaurant that boasts of an amazing Zen ambience. With a nondescript entrance, you are highly dependent on Google Maps to bring you to the right spot. Little is known about this nook in from your regular food and culture media, but rave reviews about its location and atmosphere are abuzz by word of mouth from patrons.
Step in and allow yourself to take in the lush greens. A poster of Bob Marley and a Yamaha upright piano will greet you at its entrance. Its architecture, so strongly rooted in the utilization of wood, cement and bricks, have given this sanctuary a grounding that has drawn scores of people to it.
The owner must be a real big music and bike fan as the adornments from both are hard to miss at the reception. The elevated dining area is shaped as a triangle, and right in the centre, the platform opens up to expose a fresh running stream from the Mountains, with a small forest of fronds and greens to boost.
Serving an equally delicious Thai cuisine, the ambience does enhance the food from good to pretty awesome. I can assure you, that most patrons are here foremost for the location, good food is a pleasurable bonus. I must say that the fish and seafood dishes we have ordered are fresh. Here you will be able to feast on authentic Thai food and sample some fusion dishes. Do note that Mango Sticky Rice is only available on weekends. Alcohol is not served here. Highly recommend the steam fish with spicy and sour sauce, tom yum with coconut milk is a good bet too.
The pricing of the food mostly starts from RM20 per plate and above, but without batting an eyelid, I will come back to this restaurant multiple times even though I will be able to find equally delicious, nearer and more affordable Thai food in KL.
If you absolutely enjoy having a quiet dinner in a private setting, call in and come by during the weekdays from 6pm - 11pm. Weekends and public holidays are when the crowds from KL and Ipoh converge onto this small plot of land, and they open from 12pm - 11pm.
Fancy having a romantic dinner for two and staying on for the night? Very much possible provided that one of the four private villas are available. Come away to tranquility, nature and some intimate time with your partner. Have tea, lounge on the chairs, read a book, write, recharge, draw... everything that you need to get yourself recharged for civilization can be found here.

Not bad for those who really loves burger as an option for daily meals. A lot.of options available for customers to choose from. Besides, the location itself is really near to the public university (UPSI). Just placed near to the main road where everubody can easily access.

The dishes were delicious and the prices were reasonable. Minuses: A bit far from UPSI old or new campus, no air-conditioners.
