Casual fine dining in an historic country setting
Hoping for a breakfast delight, we only got below average b&b food. Service was minimal, not what I would expect for the price

Experience casual fine dining by a lake in the mountains in the Lake Rabun Hotel's award winning restaurant. In winter enjoy the old stone fireplace for a glass of wine before dinner. In warm weather dine on one of the decks under the stars, pines and hemlocks. The restaurant is known for great food, service and southern hospitality earning it a Best of Atlanta award.
Today we had Sunday brunch, and I will only speak to that meal. It was very tasty. We sat on the porch. Get venue with great service. There was a reasonable selection on the menu. I think they can serve alcoholic beverages after 12:30 on Sundays. It might be difficult to access for those with limited mobility. I would recommend.

The atmosphere was peaceful with music like what you would head at a massage spa. The staff was very friendly. The interior was made from local stones and the whole place looked cozy. They appeared to support micro-breweries by the looks of advertisements. However, it's kind of hard to mess up a BBQ platter...but they did. I ate it anyway and it was no better than average. I probably won't waste my time coming here again.

We are a family friendly BBQ restaurant open on Friday and Saturday evenings. We are also proud members of the BBQ trail and we cater events. Call us for catering information. We look forward to seeing you at Brasstown Creek Gathering Place soon.
This restaurant is out in the country, way out, so you don't just happen to pass by, but once you have found it you will go back over and over. The food is delicious and plentiful. We were taken by a friend and since we have taken many friends, everyone truly likes the place. So follow the map and go have a great meal. Meals are fairly priced and kids meals are big. Please take cash or a checkbook they don't take credit cares. It is worth the drive! P.S. Kids can go wading in the mountain stream and find a token for a free treat!

We had our first meal from this wonderful takeout team! WOW! I'm a cook and a very good one (tooting my own horn), so I'm critical (to a fault my husband says). I loved EVERY component of this meal. It is obvious from the first look, the first smell, the first bite that these people know what they are doing. We had vegetable beef soup and two kinds of cornbread. Excellent! We had the special which was roast pork stuffed with apple and cranberry stuffing, roasted sweet potatoes and herbed potato salad (meal suggested brussel sprouts with bacon and balsamic vinegar, but husband doesn't eat BS... but sounded perfectly creative to me). We couldn't not have dessert, so we had one of each... pumpkin pie made from house roasted candy roaster pumpkins, an heirloom pumpkin my grandmother used to use and we had caramel cake. The cake was a sheet cake with a thick caramel glaze poured over. My purist heart and critical mind said, oh no! this is not traditional caramel cake made in layers with a fudgy caramel icing and I was set to find fault. It was amazing. The vanilla cake was from scratch, no boxed mix. It was delicious and the caramel was buttery, smooth and perfect with the cake. We love you Lo-Belle's Potluck Kitchen! They are only open from 4-8pm Thurs and Fri nights. Takeout only. We will be planning another trip south of Clayton, Georgia to sample more of their cooked from scratch offerings...SOON!

I'm a huge DQ fan because of this location and the ones in Cornelia and Clarkesville. All have same owner. Homemade slaw and biscuits set these apart from many I've ate at. If you want good quick food, I highly suggest it.

Real southern hickory smoked BBQ and the only restaurant with a view of Talullah Gorge while you eat. So if you are looking for REAL southern BBQ and fresh local produce, we are the place. We have indoor and outdoor covered dining. If you have a non meat eater in your group we have a locally produced killer veggie burger. All our food is made fresh daily.
Disclaimer: think of this restaurant like a food truck. The restaurant is small but the outdoor deck affords a great view of the gorge. The food was hot and tasty, and the owner made us fresh sweet tea. The purple peas and slaw sides were...MoreSkiLee, Thanks for the nice words you had for ud. I tend to think of us as a food truck too. Sorry your bathroom experience was not good. I will talk to the store and see if they cannot better. Please come see us again.

Annie's At Alley's offers a good selection of sandwiches, chips, old fashioned bottled drinks & delicious desserts. Order from a big menu board behind the counter. Don't expect full restaurant service or an extensive menu. This is a quiet little place where you can get a bite to eat & quench your thirst. Sit on the porch & be lazy awhile or walk across the road to watch a relaxing river. The location is among a nice collection of shops along the scenic route of Old Hwy 441 in Historic Lakemont. It is worth a detour to take this simple step back in time.
