I went to this restaurant follow many others recommendation of a place to dine in Suphan Buri. The environment is good and the food is tasty but the management is very bad. We went to this place during the long weekend to find out that every dishes ordered is more than 30 minutes wait and apart of that after sunset, there is a bunch of mosquitoes bite us all and the restaurant is enable to arrange any support to their customer not even giving a fan to blow it away or the spray to protect it.
I got back home itchy for my entire body and this would definitely the first and the last time I would visit this place.

If you like fresh water fish cuisine, this is one of the restaurants to visit. Menu is typical for central part of Thailand with crayfish and fresh water fish. Mae Buai is probably the most well-known restaurant in Suphan Buri Province. I have had lunch here for so many times and found that the taste has not changed. Price is not bad, either. Six of us had a full meal and shared 500 baht each.

They have private karaoke room for extra price per hour so you can enjoy singing and eating at the same time. Foods are nice, both local and international dish. Price is a bit above average but still reasonable for a restaurant. They have live music in evening.

EKACHAI – A LEGEND OF SUPANBURI’S SALEE In 1968, “Ekachai” Thai sweet shop was founded in Subsin market,Suphanburi province of Thailand. It was the first time that a soft & gentlestream cake called “SALEE” (Thai Stream Cake) was introduced with a few kindsof Thai sweet during its opening. Since then, Ekachai SALEE was known as apopular sponge cake among local consumer and became a signature of Ekachai underthe name of Ekachai – Suphanburi’s Salee. In 1980, M.R. Thanadsri Sawasdiwat, a founder of “Shell Chuan Shim”(Thaicertification for a Tasty & Delicious Foods), visited Ekachai Shop and wasdelighted to permit Ekachai Thai Sweet Shop to install the Signage of Tasty andDelicious by “Shell Chuan Shim”. More than 40 years of quality, Ekachai manufacturing have been expanded and upgraded to amodern facilities as well as applying Total Quality Management System, GMP& HACCP for the food manufacturing to equip with the international foodmanufacturing standard. Moreover,a new Ekachai Thai sweet shop has been built to in-corporate a modern THAI Souvenirwhich is the center of “Ekachai” Productsand together with sweets, food, clothes, hat, bags, handmade products, etc.from all regions of Thailand at Bang Bua Thong – Suphan Buri Road.
Whoever visited Suphan Buri, Salee or Sponge Cake would be taken away from the shelf. This shop is really popular among Thai visitors and locals.

The stir fried lobster with salt is unique that no one can copy.cost range 600- 800 baht per lobster but is well worth. It is a must order item.grilled lobster on charcoal is better than else where ..pla ma nam daeng is always excellent and good portion.
Lobsters are big and fresh and medium cooked.pla ma is local big fish, similar shape to sea bass and now become rare outside bang pla ma. The owner and cook ( his wife) are chinese that own the restaurant for more than 60 years with same quality of food.my family drive from Bangkok for lunch atleast 3 times a year for the past 60 years .
Other cookings are also good but the 3 orders above is good for 3 persons already.

We live in Suphan Buri. We eat here fairly regularly. If you can find it (up an alley way on the left next to a small temple off Prachattipatai Road - down the road from Sanguan Ying School - on the same side), it provides a lavish jungle-like outdoor eating setting with floor and ceiling fans. There are also air-conditioned rooms. It supplies bountiful 'professional-karaoke' style entertainment (lovely, not too overbearing - and they even sing happy birthday when required!). The food is great - really fresh and Thai-Thai. The owner (?) is Thai and speaks English, and the staff speak Thai, it seems. They are very helpful! Lovely way to spend an evening!
