Local seafood and home cooking restaurant in Steinhatchee, Florida. Serving local favorites as well as homemade burgers, homemade chicken tenders, the juiciest steaks in town and much more. Also serving breakfast 7 days a week, day or night you are always able to find something here!
Traveling for a living and being from Florida I love to find new seafood places. This time I was extremely disappointed. First off we ordered fried pickles for an appetizer they came out soggy and in a puddle of grease. Then we all ordered separate dishes and all of the were horrible. Small portions and over priced. The hush puppies were burnt and inedible. Very over priced for the food quality and portion so don’t waste your time

We headed NE to a coastal town on the Gulf (Steinhatchee Fl.). We were hoping it was something like Cedar Kay, but it was much less exciting to Tom’s taste. It is a very nice community along the Suwannee River as it empties into the Gulf, with a number of nice restaurants and a few cabin style rentals, but all spread out along the river, so it not a short walk between spots like at Cedar Key. We stopped and had lunch at a most impressive waterside restaurant (Roy’s) where we had the BEST clam chowder & Grouper sandwich we found anywhere in Florida.

Fun Outdoor dining over the water
It was everything that we hoped for.. the motel is not 5 star but very clean and accessible to the water.. the bar staff and motel staff were so nice and kind, readily engaged in a conversation with us.. if staying there, we recommend that...MoreThanks for staying..and thanks for the rating.

Nothing to write home about. Service was average. Pizza was just okay. Only place around for miles so you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit. Will probably be back one time or another as it is convenient.

Super friendly staff and great tasting food. We took a motorcycle ride and decided to try out the restaurant for a quick appetizer. The cheesecake bites were great, but the smoked wings were superb! There was a seafood buffet that looked amazing, and priced fairly. We will definitely be back.

We are a take out food service. We do have a couple of picnic table9 s.
There are a couple of picnic tables, but it's pretty much a take out place.
Really good pork and chicken, which are the only two we had. Great sides, too.
The beans were outstanding as well as the mac and cheese.
It's only open Thursday through Sunday.

Bar & Resturant overlooking the Steinhatchee River & Gulf of Mexico
First I have to tell you this is a smoking Bar and Grill. That doesn't bother us even though we don't smoke. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there. The people were friendly, laughing and welcoming. The food was very good. We had a cheese burger and Mahi sandwich with fries and both were great! they have really good french fries as well. To make it better they had NFL games. We probably spent two hours in there just enjoying ourselves.
Their prices are more than reasonable for very good quality and quantity of food.

I hate to give this review. Passing thru and a local recommended this place. Adorable clean restored house. Local art displayed for sale. Locals in there. We ate breakfast. While the coffee was ok, my husband loved it. He always gets biscuits and gravy. 10 being excellent he rated it a five. I got two eggs, bacon, biscuit and hash browns. Immediately I noticed a greasy sheen over it all. The hash browns were clumpy and no “crisp” to my hash browns! They were too thick. I was raised not to waste food so I ate an egg set in my biscuit and one chewy piece of bacon. I can only speak for breakfast. I can’t say if I will try it again. I just can’t take the grease.

Don't underestimate the food at this place! I've had their awesome breakfast sandwich before (call ahead for a quick pickup) but today we stopped in for lunch. It's a pretty standard American menu so I opted for a cheeseburger - that was the best decision I've made all day. Generous portions and a buttered, toasted bun made this burger way better than anything Five Guys could do. It's also great to sit at the bar and watch the lady make it for you! While we were there she pulled out a giant slab of beef for another customer with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans that made me almost regret my burger... the cook was extremely friendly and I'm sorry we didn't have cash to tip you until we used the ATM but hopefully this review helps! Thanks!!

10 of us were at Kathy's. The outside are was really nice. Lots of fans and plenty of room for our group. We all had something different to eat and everyone enjoyed their choice. We especially liked the music. It was the genre that we like to listen to, Trop Rock. We heard several artists that we listen to often. Overall an enjoyable experience.
