For an ice cream spot it's the best. Every flavor and combos from soft serve, hard serve, shakes, blizzards and dishes.. they have everything! We go almost every weekend as it's local. It can get super busy in the summer and looks like they have expanded their staff this year. Sure sign of a great summer ahead! Prices a very reasonable for the amount of ice cream and quality you get..you won't be disappointed!

As the Portland, Maine restaurant scene gets ever more trendy, as kitchen space becomes prohibitively expensive, and parking becomes ever more scarce, more and more chefs are finding their way to outlying towns and building excellent reputations and loyal customers.
MK Kitchen can go toe to toe with any of the restaurants in Portland. Starting with our outstanding server, Lindsey, the evening couldn't have been more satisfying. She knew the menu inside and out, answered all our questions and gave good advice. There was an ample selection of wines, beer, and cocktails--which were expertly made.
The menu boasts some of the most unique appetizers we're seen. (Lobster cones? Yes, please.) Our party enjoyed a roasted beet salad, a bountiful shrimp cocktail plate with a fabulous sauce layered with flavors, and the afore mentioned lobster cones.
Entrees included a melt-in-your-mouth braised short rib with horseradish mashed potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts; ravioli margehrita, and mushroom risotto. Everyone raved all through their meals. Desert was a lighter than light blueberry cheesecake creme caramel with blueberry sorbet and a baked apple tart with vanilla gelato. All of this is the creation of chef/owners Mitchell Kaldrovich and his wife Lisa. And there it sits on School Street in Gorham, Maine. We were there on a Saturday night and it was packed. Make a reservation, enjoy the easy parking, and feast!

A great local spot for breakfast or lunch. My preference is breakfast ! Locally owned - the proprietor is always focused on delivering a great meal to her patrons. Start your day off right - grab a coffee mug from the peg board for free refills, place your order and relax with a great start to any day !

Beal's serves very small cone portions for the money. The quality of ice cream is very good. Beal's is easily accessed off of Outer Main Street, Route 25, Gorham. Parking is challenging and exiting the area can be dangerous due to its location. It is a popular stopping point both for locals and transient travelers. Seating is very limited.

My wife and I went out for ice cream this evening and decided to try "Sweeties", which is located in our community. We were extremely pleased with this place. I had a large double scoop (Moose Tracks, Oreo Cookie) while my wife had raspberry and Almond Joy on a waffle cone. The place runs extremely efficiently as three people processed customers' orders. The staff was extremely friendly and very "kid friendly". When one youngster accidentally dropped her ice cream, the owner replaced the entire cone without any charge. The grounds are decorated with red Adirondack chairs and picnic tables and has a very nostalgic feel to them. (I was brought back to those days as a kid when my parents took us out on summer evenings for ice cream.) We will definitely go back again. The owner has organized a family-friendly business with exemplary customer service!

Great buttery crust, generous toppings. I usually stick with take out but eat in is fine. Big menu. Used to work near SHOP but now it's a bit inconvenient. I usually settle for OK pizza nearer to my home but if someone is willing to go pick it p I'll spring for pizza from SHOP. Go to website for a coupon and then use their drive thru pick up. Pretty convenient.

Hardly ever stop at DD because their donuts are a joke. On the road, in a hurry, wanted a quick lunch (am diabetic) so I ordered their Turkey and cheddar flatbread. It was drenched in a chipotle sauce and obviously microwaved. The sauce dripped out and burned my hand. The flavor was salt, salt, salt. I wouldn't feed this slop to a pig I didn't like.
