Being one-hundred percent Italian you can find it hard to dine out for Italian food. Like most Italian/Americans we know the true authenticity of our ancestor cuisine. You can't fool our palette. Café Silvium is like visiting your grandmother's kitchen. The food is authentic and delicious, so bring your appetite. You cannot make reservations so get there early so your not waiting for a table.

First visit. Found it just by looking for "different" restaurants in the Stamford/Greenwich area. Very glad to have chosen this one.
Portions are small but quite delicious and satisfying. Good cubano sandwiches, tasty empanadas, good burritos and fairly good arroz con pollo (a bit scarce on the pollo). Prices reasonable. Very nice ambiance but with tables too close together. Clean restrooms (always a sign of civility). Staff could be more pleasant. Will certainly come again given opportunity.

In the heart of downtown Stamford, Columbus Park is the destination for those who appreciate fine Italian cuisine. One of three family-owned restaurants in Fairfield County, Columbus Park was voted “Best Italian Restaurant in Stamford” and consistently receives high ratings from food critics. Known for its chicken Scarpariello, home made pastas, fine service and artwork, Columbus Park can accommodate private events with up to 65 people in its private dining room, overlooking the greenery of Columbus Park. An added benefit is the outdoor seating that allows “al fresco” dining. When in the mood for elegantly prepared Italian food with exceptional ingredients, visit Columbus Park. With an extensive wine list, warm service and beautiful décor, you’ll be assured of a wonderful dining experience.
It's when something good happens even thought it wasn't planned, like what happened when Christopher Columbus thought he was sailing to India. So back to Columbus Park. We tried getting into what is now listed as the best restaurant in Stamford but didn't want to...MoreThank you so much, we are so glad you enjoyed all the food and service!! Come back soon!!

My daughter and I had lunch at Remo's just before Christmas. We shared a pasta dish and a prosciutto and arugula pizza. Both were absolutely delicious. Service was also spot on. I loved the atmosphere at Remo's, clearly an authentic old Italian spot.

When seeking an exceptional dining experience, Stamfordites need look no further than their own backyard. At The Capital Grille in Stamford Town Center, dry aged steaks and 20 year-old Scotch fortify Fortune 500 power brokers and power shoppers alike, while refreshing cocktails and irresistible appetizers delight patrons of the Palace Theatre and Rich Forum. Clearly, distinctive dining is not reserved for that larger city down the road. As a charming young lady once said, there's no place like home.
We are obsessed with Capital Grille! Everything we've ever ordered has been amazing. Their salads, apps and steaks are unbelievable. We go there for pretty much every special occasion, and sometimes just because! The prices really are reasonable considering how high quality and well made everything is. The service is always impeccable, and overall it's just one of our faves in Stamford.

All the reviews I read gave kudos to the restaurant.
Recently my son-in-law hired the restaurant's pizza truck for a family holiday get together.
A 2 man fully contained 28 foot pizza truck arrived and immediately heated up to prepare the famous "hot oil" thin crispy crust pizzas
Thirteen (13) individual toppings are offered and I believe at least one of each was made available.
Everyone enjoyed the treats,
In talking with one of the servers, my wife who is gluten intolerant was told that a gluten free crust was available. In minutes a gluten free pizza appeared. In fact a boxed extra one was prepared with all toppings for her to take home.
Before the truck closed up after about 2.5 hours of operation, a number of boxed pizzas were made available for the guests to take home.
Wonderful afternoon; sorry we do not live in CT so we could take advantage of the restaurant.

This is a brand new restaurant in Stamford, CT. The food is excellent!
We have always had very good experiences at Olio and it is our go to place for a good meal with great service. They are always full, which is a good sign. Their specials are always good and varied. Love the burger.

Admittedly this was the coldest weekend in perhaps decades, but where we were seated near a window was very cold. That said the food was extremely pleasing with everything delicious. This more than compensated for the chilly environment.

It is a nice busy place. Very good tacos, I love lengua and chicarron tacos. Good service. Downtown Stamford prices. It is a place for young professionals to go drinking, having good food and fun.. If you want to have great tacos without being in a fancy place, go to either El Charritto at 1019 East Main St. OR to Casa Villa. I love Casa Villa at 866 east main street. West main st location is good for a take out. Nothing fancy, just a very good Mexican food.
