The service was good and the waitress was friendly and helpful.
Most of our group were satisfied with their food but my wife was not. She had ordered the Dory which was one of the specials. Badly cooked with little flavour. It was dry and most disappointing. Worth less than half of the $37 charged for it.
The rack of lamb was flavoursome but a little fatty. Those that had the veal were full of praise.
The desserts were also tasty.
The Trattoria has a nice atmosphere being in the old school building. Parking is plentiful and free.

We have eaten here for both lunch and dinner several times previously and enjoyed it. However, we had dinner there recently and were very disappointed. When we arrived there were 5 young wait staff standing around chatting and eating their take away dinner and they showed no interest in greeting us, Seating us , explaining the specials or offering us drinks. The haloumi appetizer was 2mm thin and deep fried to the texture of cardboard. The salads were totally over dressed to the point of the lettuce being soggy. The main fish was just pub fish and chips with four pieces of lettuce and a lemon wedge. The salmon salad main was tasty. The barra main totally lacked flavour and seasoning. The kids banana split was generous and they loved it. It seems like the menu has definitely moved away from the concept of fresh, flavoursome and wholesome, to deep fried and cheap , but still with the hefty price tag.
Think we will wipe this venue from our list.

We enjoyed a lunch of salmon penne which was delicious, notable for its fresh ingredients and flavour. We were surprised how many others were lunching here mid-week given that the restaurant is right on the highway and you’d need local knowledge or a recommendation to find it. We loved the ambience: vases full of old worlde type flowers, lettuce in bowls on the tables, floor to ceiling book cases, crates of veggies at the counter. We could imagine happily lingering over a coffee and cake on a wet morning while browsing through the books. Staff were attentive and friendly. As the restaurant is only a few doors from the local cinema they probably do very well of an evening. So it would be worthwhile booking a table, which we’ll do for lunch next time as they do get busy.

Nice restaurant and atmosphere but that's where it stopped for me. The food is lacking true thai flavour. For entree we had the duck spring rolls which you couldn't even taste the duck. Mains Massaman beef meat was tender but lacking flavour and Chicken pad Thai not bad but who serves lemon and not lime with this ruined the meal in my opinion. We have moved from the Central Coast and are yet to find a Thai restaurant that matches Charming Thai restaurant on the coast... Will keep searching.

Authentic Spanish TAPAS FROM THE CATALAN AND BASQUE REGIONS
Have now been to this tapas bar twice and both times the food has been excellent. The tapas dishes are really tasty and remind you of those great dishes served in the better tapas bars in Spain. The staff are friendly and the waiter even got out the Spanish guitar and started playing some great tunes while we were dinning. Excellent atmosphere and total authentic feel to the place.

Dined there with a group of friends and generally we enjoyed the meal and the night despite the poor service. I had the terrine and the spatchcock . Both were excellent. However the wine list was exorbitant for a local suburban restaurant. The food cost were also pretty pricey. Having just returned from 5 weeks in Italy where, in the many restaurants we dined in, the service was generally excellent, the food was delightful and reasonably priced and the wine was plentiful and also very reasonably priced. In comparison Café Lyon just did not make it.

Great place for local Thai food. Very good quality. Friendly service. If not eating outside it is best to request a table in main section of restaurant as the other side is a bit too far away from where it is cooked and if food is carried that far it is not as hot, especially if weather is cold or wet.

This place blew my taste buds off my tongue! It was so delicious we ordered takeaway with come friends and ate at theirs, with a mixture of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes. I am not a vegetarian but these were the best by far of what we ordered, I kept going back to them for more!!
Everything was just so tasty and went well with our chosen wines. I and my friends will definitely back for more Mehfil.

Arrived around 6pm to this lively multi function restaurant. Clientele ranged from families picking dad or mum up from the station, through casual diners to formal diners. Busy and alive location. Food was good and a wide ranging menu. Not cheap but not expensive either.
