Met with friends and had great food and good service. The atmosphere is very nice also. I have had the Sunday brunch also. Great breakfast and lunch selection. The brussel sprouts are to die for.

We were traveling around southern Illinois visiting various customers and happened upon South Side. While not fancy, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere casual, and the food hot and tasty.
The menu offered everything from a club sandwich to ribs and steak, and there were numerous sides to chose from. Everything was served as expected and we all cleaned our plates.
Sweet tea and a full bar would make this a fine dinner place too.
Very reasonable and super service.

We eat here 99% of Sundays after church. The best fried chicken EVER! You will not find another restaurant as clean. Very affordable. The grilled chicken is wonderful too. We have never had anything we didn't like. Very friendly and fast service!

We stopped in on our way home from viewing the eclipse for dinner and had a nice experience. The service was very prompt even though they were very busy. The waitress was very helpful with my strict dietary needs and the cooks even came out and talked to me. The food was good and we will return the next time we go see my mother-in-law down by Carbondale.

Popped into this sub shop on the recommendation of my son who had eaten here before. We had just arrived in Sparta to start working on my son's home to which he is moving to this month. A very nice young lady waited on us by taking our order and also fixing the subs to order in a quick manner. We took the subs home with us to eat and they were excellent! I'm sure we be back some day.

We arrived tired and hungry and didn't want to search much for food. The food wasn't fancy but was good enough for fast food and the place was very clean and well serviced. The food itself is basically sandwiches, breakfast food and some Mexican items. Again, fast food but with decent service. I would return if I wanted something cheap etc.

Truck drivers waiting on a pick up so popped in and had an awesome Super Supreme Pan Pizza and Medium Breaded Buffalo Wings. Excellent food. Nice staff. Only negative I have is that their women's restroom is very outdated even for me as a trucker. Surprised at that. Food was perfect.

Okay, the restaurant was busy, but there were a few empty tables. We waited 2 hours for our food. Since we had ordered pizza, we joked about ordering a pizza from Pizza Hut and having it delivered. Wait staff was attentive and apologetic. Apparently what happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen.

This buffet is great for families. They obviously have oriental food, but plenty of other options for those that don't like that kind of food.

Stopped in for dinner on Tuesday evening. Walked over from the hotel on the other side of the parking lot. The restaurant has a bar side and a diner side. We walked into the diner site. I bet we waited an easy 15 minutes before a waitress came over from the bar side to get our drink order. Then another 5 or 10 minutes before ordering dinner. But then we waited over an HOUR to get our dinner. If it wasn't for the waitress from the bar side checking on us, we probably would have waited longer. The waitress on the diner side, sure she was busy, but never even acknowledged us. So, a HUGE thank you to the cutie in the green shirt on Tuesday evening. To the one in the black shirt, I understand being busy, but once in a while you need to check on the other customers. If it wasn't for the waitress in the green, this would have been a 1-star rating. My sandwich and my co-worker's chicken was good. Even though someone had said they had to go catch the chicken out back! lol. Maybe when I'm back in a few months I may give it another shot!
