Ran in for some hoagies on a Friday about 3pm. Ordered hoagies right away. Lady making hoagies was pleasant and wore gloves. Place is very clean and they have the best UNSEEDED rolls!! I have been going here for 25 years and never had a problem!! Just the best!!

At $13 or so for dinner the buffet is a real find. Beyond that the menu is full of so many choices: vegetarian, several chicken styles, shrimp, goat, etc. Ample parking in the adjacent lot. Good service. Menu dishes can be ordered in various levels of spicy, from American bland (but why bother) to classic fiery (get out the water bucket) Indian hot. The only downside- the interior decor feels old and tired. Could use some sprucing up. But you don't eat the decor.

This is a weekly spot for me in the summer. There is a long list of water ice flavors (peachy peach is my favorite!) And their soft-serve is the best around. I love this local business. Bring cash though, no credit cards accepted.

While waiting for a pick up oder to be filled a few doors down from Sweet Eats, I decided, on a whim, to check this bakery. Being a chocoholic, I couldn't resist the beautiful chocolate Bombes. Hubby and I had them for dessert and they were delicious. Not too sweet, not too heavy, just right. Will be back to sample other delicacies.

My wife, son and I were visiting Wilmington and went here for the first time. The food, drink and service were outstanding, and we enjoyed our meal on a nice day while sitting outside. Would go back again without question,

We ate here for lunch on a weekend and didn't realize they would be serving brunch. This was not an issue and the waiter provided us a lunch menu where most items were available to order. The service here was excellent and the food was good. One thing I didn't care for was the door to the kitchen looked very dirty.

Stopped into Umi for lunch today and had a great experience. Nice menu with lots of choices for sushi, sashimi and familiar Japanese dishes including curry, katsu, ramen, tempura and teriyaki.
I had the chicken katsu bento lunch special, ika, inari and tamago sushi with melon ramuné and Murai Nigorizaké.
The miso soup was very good, the sushi fresh and the chicken katsu was perfectly cooked.
The bento had a nice spring roll, California roll, rice and a nice portion of chicken katsu.
My dining partners had several makizushi rolls, one of them being the Umi special ‘Jonathon Roll’ which had shrimp tempura, spicy scallop, mango, and crab stick inside. It was deep fried with spicy sauce, eel sauce and caviar on top
The kimchi appetizer was good – I believe the proprietors are Korean so it was authentic. The dumpling soup was also very good.
Nigorizaké or Nigori style saké is my favorite and Umi had various nigori saké choices which is a plus for me as most places only have one – or none on the menu.
Murai nigorizaké was smooth and creamy with sweet rice flavors, hints of cream, pineapple, coconut and vanilla. Also at almost 20% alcohol, this is a bold and hearty saké delicious with Japanese food.
Great service, food and ambiance – I will definitely be back!

Restaurant Week Spring Pre Fixe. A great meal at a very reasonable price. Butternut squash soup was delicious. Stuffed ravioli with mushrooms. They were to die for. The sirloin was nicely done and desert topped off a great meal. Service was excellent. Rest rooms perfectly clean. Our first time. It won’t be the last!

I have been coming to this diner for over 12 years. Have always been satisfied with the service and the food. Today I hope was just a bad day. The table we sat at was dirty, and they quickly wiped it up. One of the drink glasses was dirty, again quickly replaced. The salad was a bit wilted compared to their normal salad. You can usually eat the salad the next day but todays I could tell wouldn't make it. When the meals came out, one was missing French fries, and sour cream. When it was time to pack up the left overs (I usually get 3 meals worth of food from one mini meal) Needed a lid for the salsa, which the waitress forgot and took a while to get. I then had to ask for the desert to go which comes with the meal. We sent the poor waitress back so many times to correct, get things and it took us so long, when the bill arrived wrong I figured they would just correct it at the counter. So the gentleman behind the counter answered the phone and is arguing with I assume an employee about schedules, while I am waiting to not only pay the bill, but correct the bill. After the longer than should have been phone call ended, I showed him that we did not have any coffee but were charged for 2 cups. He went back to the waitress came back or minute or so later, and they removed only one cup. I explained we had no coffee, he had to go back to the waitress and remove the second cup of coffee. The waitress then came up and apologized that the water button and coffee button were stuck.
The service and food are usually good, but today just seemed to be one error after another.
