Friendly staff serve up a good and not burnt cup of coffee (and various coffee drinks) in a nice coffeehouse type environment. There are pastries and sandwiches available. BTW, do not actually think they call this Manzanares Street Coffeehouse. I think it's called M Mountain (after the famous M marked mountain) Coffeehouse.

This restaurant is amazing! It has become our favorite stop whenever we head south!!!
Tonight I ordered the Fish & Chips! Substituted Onion Rings for the Fries - THE best Onion Rings EVER! OK so now to address the Fish - keep in mind we are in the middle of nowhere! Middle of New Mexico- 800+ miles from an Ocean! Their Fish is some of the best I’ve ever had Period!
Consider this! We are from Oregon and accustomed to Fish & Chips from Bandon and Lincoln City!
I am amazed! Oh, and by the way- the service & quantity and Quality is 5 star!!

I ordered a green Chile enchilada with chicken, which is a pretty standard New Mexican dish as far as I know. It's usually a stack of several tortillas with cheese, Chile, and maybe some sauce between them. But the emphasis is on Chopped, cooked chili.
This was one of the strangest enchiladas I've had. Even if the style is a local specialty, it only seemed to have green chili here and there. It was covered by a sort of red orange sauce and cheese. And it had basically no flavor at all... Just vaguely saucy and slightly spicy. It kind of reminded me of gravy.

Stayed in a hotel two doors away, great to be able to walk. Warm greeting by hostess. Our waitress Jessica was terrific! We ordered a small pizza and a calzone. Watched the “chief” laughing, joking around, spinning pizza dough in the air. Order was delivered, the calzone was so burnt you could not eat it. Sent it back. My pizza was half burnet (see photo) and I was really hungry so I did eat some of it. Lots of apologies from Jessica but it was not her fault. There aren’t too many choices in this town so if you order here, tell them not to burn it! Don’t think we will ever return here or to Sorocco.

If you are in Socorro this is the place to got to for breakfast. I got the burrito which came with eggs, hash browns and bacon. It was covered in green Chile and cheese. It had a great flavor, the green Chile was just right not too hot or mild. The coffee was very good. The price was reasonable. I definitely recommend this place.

There was 10 of us eating dinner during the weeknight
The staff was friendly.
Appetizers came our timely. Wait staff kept our glasses full. Kids meals came out last but it wasn't to big of a deal.
Excellent steaks. Cooked to perfection
We split a large piece pie for a tasty treat afterwards. It was a huge slice. Very tasty
Good wine selection
The air conditioner was not working so great so it was a little muggy but the food made it worth it

Employees absolutely fabulous and food even better!
We saw this spot on YELP when RVing in the area. Got off highway and finally found it after the map apps were wrong. Worth the extra looking. No RV parking so ordered to-go.
Definitely would go back next time we are in the area!!!
Hard to find great food and great people in one spot. This is it!
It is a bit of a "hole-in-the- wall" but I would rather say a " hidden gem"

El Sombrero is by far the best restaurant in Socorro. Some people have tried New Mexican food from certain restaurants and conclude that it is just bland red or green colored enchiladas. This place is New Mexican. Their sauces have flavor and shine in every dish. I have not had a bad meal here yet. If you come through, this is the place to go.

We were in Soccoro visiting our son who attends NM Tech this past Sunday. Checked Trip Advisor and saw that the Sourdough Mine Restaurant had good reviews. We were not disappointed! The staff was very attentive. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was excellent. We tried the burger, pulled pork sandwich, Philly steak sandwich and a chef salad. We would recommend any of those items! Everyone was very pleased with their meal!
We will be back again!

Not your typical tex-mex food. More traditional. We had the chicken enchiladas which were fabulous. The tamales were pretty good but the tacos were not very tasty. My husband ate his but I didn't. Meals come with chips, beans and rice. Lots of food so come hungry. The meal also comes with sopapillas which were more like Indian fry bread. They were excellent. Would recommend everything but tacos.
