Butcher's Block

Our motel recommended a different restaurant but we tried the Butcher’s Block anyway. We had great food and a great waiter “Mat”. The South African rose was very good, the shrimp scampi was very good, the quail appetizer was very good, and the Caesar’s salad with grilled shrimp was very good! We will be back!

The good is good, the staff is (usually) friendly. The only real complaint I have is that it's soooooooo. sooooo. very. slow. It always takes forever. If you order a burger, fries, a blizzard, anything really, it takes awhile to get your food.

Recently visited Snyder for the first time and looked up restaurant reviews on Travelocity. Skeets was highly recommended and I found the high ratings were accurate. I had a pepper crusted ribeye that was just perfect, at a very reasonable price. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Ordered the shrimp alfredo, nothing special. Sauce needs seasoning, felt like it was just one of those bottled white sauce from the grocery, seriously bland taste. I cook better than this. The shrimp is properly cooked though, tender, not overcooked. ive also tried the chicken alfredo, same bland sauce. But kudos to properly seasoned and grilled chicken!

Fast service with our breakfast. Clean facility decorated with dolphin themed murals. My pancake and scrambled eggs were cooked as ordered and good. Hubby's over easy eggs and ham were good. Definitely worth a return visit.

So disappointed. Ordered the Mexican Dinner. The cheese enchilada wad nothing but a big glob of chewy, rubbery cheese rolled in a tortilla. I tried cutting it and the whole glob came out. The rice was not good....hated the aftertaste. I gabe it 2 stars because I ate the beans! Won't be eating there again.

Stopped here to eat because of all the cars we saw at this place during lunch hour. It was packed so we waited an went in about 1:30 on a Friday. Small fast food kind of place but not your typical fast food. Some of the best, if not the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. Pretty much cooked to order and spends very little, if any time under a heat lamp. Great batter, crispy and tender with good seasoning. The sides we had were good as well including potatoes and gravy, and what tasted like some kind of homemade rolls. All very good. Wanted to go back and try their steak fingers before leaving town, but we didn't get too. I will eat here again.

Mrs Kathy Southern Comforts

Reviewed By Badgelady - Cut and Shoot, Texas

Our second time here and food just as good as the first time. Small restaurant with efficient staff serving really good Southern fare. This time I had meatloaf....very moist and tasty with just a hint of heat to wake up taste buds. Perfectly seasoned green beans were very good. Hubby had roast chicken and dressing....a lot of juicy chicken with homemade dressing and green beans. The only negative to our meal was the total cost of around $30 for lunch. Wish we had room for a warm peach dumpling.
